buyer representation: No Treat for NAR With Today's Ruling - 10/31/23 06:40 PM
The word came down today about the ruling on the Burnett v. NAR et al. case. The case is being appealed and we will all wait to see how this will play out. I believe we all need to keep an eye on this case as things progress through the appeal process.
Here is the information if you want to read about the verdict from today.  This case may very well change the entire buyer representation that we've all been accustomed to using. Time will certainly tell.

Many, many years ago, I represented a buyer on a new construction home. This is my 3rd post in the March to a Solution Challenge. These posts for this challenge have been very interesting for us all.
In this particular situation, I was first contacted by Mrs. Buyer. She and I were in constant communication, she was the only person to actually look at the homes, and, she handled all of the negotiations. I had the pleasure of working with a lovely young couple in purchasing their first home.  We looked at many resales and then the new construction.  Thankfully this couple listened to my advice and really weighed all of their options and pros & cons of their decision.  They ended up choosing the new construction which for them was the right choice.
