Biscuits and Blessings Today and tomorrow, we are reminded of why we truly celebrate this time. Christ came to this world as a small babe in order to serve as our future Savior. Each of us has the choice to either accept Him or to reject Him. No one is forced to choose either way. A choice however, is ours alone. When I made these biscuits, I chose the ingredients, took the time to prepare them, and then allowed them to slowly rise before baking. Each of us was chosen by God. We have arrived at the blessed Christmas Eve - THE reason for the season and that is Christ our Lord. This week I have been sharing Christmas blessing stories in the hopes to provide others with joy and purpose. God gives each of us stories and wants us to share them. Yesterday, we left off at the incredible near-death experience while I was in the hospital. What was so difficult to grasp was whether or not my visitation really happened or had it been a dream? For months after the event, I grappled with the event knowing in my heart that I had indeed received a great visit and message. Six months after this event, my husband and I were at a gathering when I noticed the front door opening and saw an elderly man enter who was aided by a walker. Yesterday we had my side of the family early Christmas gathering. Aunts, Uncles, cousins, brothers, sisters, Mothers and Fathers, children and grandchildren all descended upon my mothers home! We always get together early so that everyone can be with their respective immediate families on Christmas. It is hectic but fun. Wrapping paper flying, kids running around, adults laughing and talking, and of course lots of food!
