selfcare: Saturday Soundness (On Sunday)~ B A L A N C E - 11/12/23 07:16 PM
It's so funny that my, "Saturday Soundness" post is on the topic of balance. It has been a busy week and weekend, and I knew I just wouldn't be able to get this post in yesterday. Therefore, here it is late.
I was speaking with another Active Rainer about this topic just this week. As self-employed people, achieving balance in our lives is so, very important.  When we find ourselves out of balance in any of the major areas of our lives, we experience all sorts of issues. And, we all know that with prolonged imbalances come the dreaded, dis-ease.

selfcare: Saturday Soundness ~ Move It or Lose It - 08/26/23 09:12 AM
In this post in my Saturday Soundness series, we are going to discuss the importance of moving! The old saying, "Move it or Lose it", is very true. Our bodies were designed to move. Just like your car, if it sits without being run, it will deteriorate and won't perform as well.
Our bodies are incredibly designed machines. These machines are meant to move. Our joints, bones, muscles, and ligaments need to be used on a regular basis. And, this doesn't mean you have to become a marathon runner.

selfcare: When Did We Stop Playing? - 05/03/23 06:29 AM
As I was reading, Kathy Streib's Wordless Wednesday post just now about her grandson, it gave me a pause to ask the question of when do we stop playing? I can remember playing on my bicycle, building forts, playing dress-up, hide-and-seek, and so many other wonderful, playful memories.
It made me stop and wonder, when did I stop playing? Was it when I got to high school and became involved in many extracurricular activities? Well, no because I did play a lot in college. Tee hee.
The question is important though, as we do need to remember to take some time to play! … (26 comments)

selfcare: One-Day Retreat ~ Renew & Refocus - 01/25/23 05:37 PM
Each year, we take a break from work and engage in a one-day retreat. I choose a different book each year that we use as a guide for the entire year. It's an opportunity to put the focus on ourselves and to grow as a team.
We close our office, escape to an off-site location and put our heads together in order to renew our souls, refocus, and rewire our thinking. The book we are using this year is, Winning the War in Your Mind, by Craig Groeschel. The message of the book is basically, to rid ourselves of "stinkin thinkin"!

During these winter months, there are many things that we can be doing now to prepare for the Spring Real Estate Market. The planning you engage in right now will benefit your business for a profitable Spring.
1.  Clearing Out Old Data & Files - take some time to go through your office and get rid of what you no longer need. Which files can be put away or even deleted. Clutter is not good for creating an efficient environment. Studies … (16 comments)
