home staging in edmonton: Understanding Human Behaviour, What Are Your Clients Really Feeling and Why? - 06/16/11 04:28 PM

We've all had that client that we've worked our tail off for, and still they were unsatisfied or changed their minds at the last moment.

Why?

There are many factors in why  people do what they do. Some are conscious reasons some are not.

Human behaviour always has 3 things governing our actions. Reasoning, emotion and motivation. The degrees of each, in any combination, will determine what people will do at any given time. This is called psycho-logic.

But because we are also bio-logical beings we use our … (48 comments)

home staging in edmonton: Will Rogers; Sage Advice For a Wordy Wednesday! - 06/15/11 02:12 PM
Will Rogers; Sage Advice For a Wordy Wednesday!I know lots of people who this quote applies to.

Sometimes we all get too comfortable where we're at and coast.
Whatever we're doing seems to be working so why change it?
Once in a while we need to jump the track to get going in another direction, even if it's out of our comfort zone!

Everyone; sellers and Realtors, need to understand that home staging is something that; although many either haven't tried it or don't really understand the value of Home Staging, it will make the difference in … (15 comments)

home staging in edmonton: Veggies, Veggies, Everywhere, But Not As Close As You Think! - 06/14/11 11:14 AM
Veggies, Veggies, Everywhere, But Not As Close As You Think!
I haven't had a veggie garden for two years since we were getting a garage built in the fall of 09. Since they would need to tear down the old garage and my raised plant beds, I couldn't plant that year. Then last year there was the insulating, drywalling, painting, flooring of the loft studio to be done. So no time for rebuilding a bunch of raised planter beds then either. (whole 'nuther blog) But, NO WAY was I not going to have a garden this year!
So I contacted Jeremy … (18 comments)

My Wild Iris...Rose! Wait how does that song go again? It's raining today, but everything is starting to bloom and I thought it would be nice to get some pix since I had a minute! Laura Baker had posted some fabulous pix of her iris and when I told her they were gorgeous and mine were blooming too she wanted to see. So here they are... Mook River Spa & Resort! Taking Reservations! :D

I made this brochure a few years ago as a fun gift for my friends.
Each one would have a free membership to come over anytime for a meal or to stay the night, share the hot tub or a games night, or even just sit on the deck and listen to the birds and the water.

Every time I'd give someone a brochure, I'd say, "I've heard this place is really nice, it comes highly recommended."

They'd take the brochure, get halfway through and realize it … (12 comments)

Monday Mania! I See Angels Everywhere!
I've tried numerous times with out success to write a post with word or scribefire. Both give me reams of code when I try to drag'n'drop and then post. I have too much imagination to have normal (default) text, it doesn't look good enough to me. So I am made my post in fireworks, but of course the text won't count. So I'm typing this to get my 50 words and then you can enjoy the post!

Silly Sunday! Are You Ready For Swimsuit Season!?!
Yes, it’s that time again! We go to the swimwear shops with Ativan in hand to see if we can find a suit that won’t make people run screaming or make ourselves throw up!
I had this little comic sent to me to remind me that you don’t have to stress yourself too much when buying a suit, there’s always an ‘up’ side to things! :D

home staging in edmonton: Friday Funnee! The Talking Clock! - 06/10/11 02:57 AM
Friday Funnee! The Talking  Clock       After  closing time at the bar, a drunk was proudly showing off his new  apartment to a couple of his friends.  He led the way to his  bedroom where there was a big brass gong and a  mallet.
"What's up  with the big brass gong?" one of his guests  asked.        "It's not a  gong.  It's a talking clock," the drunk  replied.       "A talking  clock?  Seriously?" asked his astonished  friend.        "Yup,"  replied the drunk.        "How's it  work?" the friend asked, squinting at  it.

My Weekend Away With 100+ Men! Boy Am I Tired... part d Whew, this will be the last of my day with over 100 men; singing and harmonizing, being; funny, sweet and charming! (to view a, b, and c)
This was my husbands first competition and he was nervous, but I think, with all that went on that day, it took his mind off it a bit.

After the coaching of the chorus' the quartets got up and performed. You don't get much more pure harmony when there are 4 parts all represented right there in front of … (18 comments)

home staging in edmonton: Unlike the 7 Words From George Carlin, These Are 7 Words You Can Use! - 06/04/11 06:19 PM
Unlike the 7 Words From George Carlin, These Are 7 Words You Can Use! George Carlin was the man! He talked about the 7 words you couldn't say on TV. (R rated)
That obviously was before cable! When you are writing copy for an ad there are 7 words that are proven to grab a readers attention! These are power words and they produce results! So make sure you use them in your marketing! And just as in life, if you use the opposite words too often people will not care to read, because it sounds like an ad, or just … (112 comments)

home staging in edmonton: What Do You Think of My New Commercial!?! - 06/03/11 06:13 PM
What Do You Think of My New Commercial!?! I originally wrote this copy for a radio ad, but thought I'd try it on You Tube's 'Go! animation' program. It's a type and say program where the characters literally say what you type. I used it once before to upload a demo the old band had made. It's very easy to use, the tutorial shows you everything. Let me know what you think!

home staging in edmonton: My Weekend Away With 100+ Men... Boy Am I Tired! Part c... - 06/03/11 01:33 PM
If you've been reading my posts about my husband's barbershop quartet and chorus competition; here's installment c. (To view a & b.)

After the chorus' were done competing, each group got their scores and were sent up to a classroom where each judge would come and critique their performance, which was absolutely fascinating!
The men would line up like they would perform and once the judge would tell them what they did right would work on improving their performance, because there's an international competition in Spokane, in July! and they want someone from Evergreen division 3 to bring back … (9 comments)

Gorgeous Redheads... Witty Wednesday!A man was dining alone in a fancy restaurant and there was a gorgeous redhead sitting at the next table. He had been checking her out since he sat down, but lacked the nerve to talk with her.

Suddenly she sneezed, and her glass eye flew out of its socket towards the man. He reflexively reached out, grabbed it out of the air, and handed it back.
'Oh my, I am so sorry,' the woman said, as she popped her eye back in place. 'Let me buy your dinner to … (30 comments)

My Weekend Away With 100+ Men... Boy Am I Tired! Part a...
Well, I actually only spent Saturday with them, but, meh, semantics!
My Husband, Dave, sings tenor in a Barbershop Chorus and Quartet; the Grove City Chorus. This past weekend they had a competition; the Champions of Harmony, and convention in Red Deer, which is half way between the two large cities in our province; Edmonton, the Capital where we live, and Calgary in the southern end of Alberta.
Dave went up Friday evening to the 'meet and greet' while I stayed home and planted my veggie garden. We were … (15 comments)

I made this a while ago, but haven't posted it in the appropriate spot yet, so I better get a move on! I just wanted to thank all the people pictured here who (at that time) were my subscribers as well as who I subscribed to!
Since then there have been many more I've added to my lists, on each side (thanx!) and the next collage will be bigger!
Since I haven't made a collage (like most of you) since school, it was really fun. This is my second one since my first … (16 comments)

Puppy size - Moving Monday!
This was sent to me via email!

'Danielle keeps repeating it over and over again. We've been back to this animal shelter at least five times. It has been weeks now since we started all of this,' the mother told the volunteer. 'What is it she keeps asking for?' the volunteer asked. 'Puppy size!' replied the mother 'Well, we have plenty of puppies, if that's what she's looking for..' 'I know..... We have seen most of them, ' the mom said in frustration...

Ads in Community Newsletters Can Do the Job Too!
