What Do You Think of My New Commercial!?! I originally wrote this copy for a radio ad, but thought I'd try it on You Tube's 'Go! animation' program. It's a type and say program where the characters literally say what you type. I used it once before to upload a demo the old band had made. It's very easy to use, the tutorial shows you everything. Let me know what you think!
After the chorus' were done competing, each group got their scores and were sent up to a classroom where each judge would come and critique their performance, which was absolutely fascinating! My Weekend Away With 100+ Men... Boy Am I Tired! Part a... Well, I actually only spent Saturday with them, but, meh, semantics! My Husband, Dave, sings tenor in a Barbershop Chorus and Quartet; the Grove City Chorus. My Day as an Anesthetists Nurse! I'm not a doctor but I play one on TV. Well, no not really. If you've read my profile, you've read that I work at the University of Alberta as a Standardized Patient. SP's are actors given a script with symptoms, and students; from their first year to their last year, including residency, will have training, exams and learning sessions with SPs to either learn to diagnose or learn to talk/relate/interview etc. It is a great job, that I think is worthwhile on many levels and because of my years doing this I have learned a lot … (18 comments)

What's For Dinner? Yummy Edamame and Scallop Stirfry! Stirfry's have tp be one of my favourite things for dinner! You can use up all the veggies before you go shopping, and it doesn't matter what kind of protein you like it will taste great in there! I started by preparing Quinoa, 1 cup of water to 1/2 cup Quinoa and a cube of chicken stock. Boil and turn to medium for 12 -15 minutes, depending on if the water's absorbed. Next cut all your veggies. With stirfry's it's not the cooking time that time consuming it's the prep work.

Road Rage; It Can Happen Anywhere! Even in the middle of nowhere! We've all been there, traffic backed up and we're all waiting patiently in line and some yahoo passes on the side and then signals to get in. And someone lets him! ARGH! That is just encouraging that behaviour, as far as I'm concerned! Having said that; This poor guy was trying to pass on a dirt road, but this elephant was a bit of a road hog it seems!

Catkins, Leafbuds and Lillies , Oh My! I've started carrying my camera in my car, wherever I go, having been inspired by Russel Ray, Eric Cooper and all the other great photographers here in the Rain. So when I stopped for lunch just above the river valley a few days ago I took some pix while having my lunch! Everything is starting to bud out, it's a lovely time of year!
Then the catkins are going strong, soon fluff will be everywhere, and my nose will be itching!

Follow Me Down the Garden Path... Years ago, I read a gardening magazine about making mosaic stepping stones. I thought it was a cool idea, so I went out to Goodwill and found some saucers and plates. I got my trusty hammer and smashed them and mortared, then grouted all that shattered ceramic in different patterns.
I soon graduated to tiles. That summer and for the next few years, I made stepping stones and people visiting my yard were always struck by finding these unique parts of my paths.
