I am in the process of replacing car and home insurance that I have had for 4 years. The company I was with really had not done anything wrong other than raising their rates every year. Each yearly rate increase was just below my tolerance level, but after 4 years I felt compelled to shop around. Many talking heads will tell you that you should shop your insurance needs every 4 years or so. I found this to be quite true. After speaking with several companies I decided to switch.
