"Sign, sign, everywhere a sign..." goes some lyrics to a song from ages ago when I was younger. Little did I know then it would mean more to me so much later.
Somehow, whenever times are tough, and if you pay attention, signs will appear. The above picture was taken this morning on my cell phone as I pumped gas into my car and contemplated life in general. Usually I reserve these moments for my morning shower, but today it was at the local gas pump.

An agent recently contacted our marketing department asking for help on a listing that was not garnering much attention from agaents or the public. When we asked him what marketing he was doing he recited the usual, sign in the yard (No flyers or riders on the sign), listed in MLS (No captions on pictures), and, well, that was it.

After working with the sign company for over a month, my new signs finally came in yesterday! I was like a little kid on Christmas day tearing open my packages to see what they contained! The picture above is my new hanging sign. I also received open house signs with my picture and info on them. Then I went to the front door and found my new business cards there, left by Santa! (Or his helpers at UPS).

Did you know that the for sale sign your agent puts in the front yard to advertise your home is very important? The sign in front of your home will bring a buyer 8-10% of the time, the statistics say. What they don't say is how many people pass by because of the sign or because they never see it.
