website: I posted a sign, now what?

An agent recently contacted our marketing department asking for help on a listing that was not garnering much attention from agaents or the public. When we asked him what marketing he was doing he recited the usual, sign in the yard (No flyers or riders on the sign), listed in MLS (No captions on pictures), and, well, that was it. So, I went to preview the property. When I showed up the driveway was entirely covered with leaves and pineneedles, making the home look abandoned. I am a huge fan of hiring professionals for jobs. They know what they are doing. They can get things done much more quickly and efficiently than I can for sure. There are a few things, however, I like to try myself. One of these is working on my own website. So, I have been wearing an additional hat recently. The reason for this is that while I could get someone else to build my website, I would not know how to maintain it. My team had great fun yesterday at our video shoot. We all got a chance to be video'd saying a short message. This will then be uploaded to the individual agents website as an introduction to their site. We also filmed a team video and shot team pictures. We have one agent who speaks 5 languages and we had her say hello in each language. Let me know what you think of the idea... … (3 comments)
