January 2009- A GREAT TIME TO BUY! I am telling all of my investor clients that now is a great time to be buying- many think that because of the winter snow and the doom and gloom in the air that they should keep still- I am encouraging them to the opposite: Right now presents some of the best buying opportunities in a decade in my current market. Why buy now?Buying now makes more sense because the real estate market in Maine has had an obvious shift. Sellers are more willing to reduce their prices, and give seller concessions if it is crucial to unloading their property. The market has shifted so much in fact, that many buyers are starting to have many more choices than they did even six months ago.
