Human Plus Nature Equals... Human nature. Why do we use this phrase when referring to the negative only? People who play or scam other people...just human nature. Those who are only about themselves and their selfishness...just human nature. People who lie, cheat and steal...just human nature. In our society, the term "human nature" seems to always have a bad connotation, applying to our baser qualities. Why is that? I long for the day when someone: Gives $$ to a worthwhile charity and we say...just human nature. Loves his/her neighbor...just human nature. Cares about senior citizens...just human nature. (This big guy was beginning to yawn). I recently visited Big Cat Rescue at 12802 Easy Street in Tampa, Florida. What a great visit! The tour was guided by an extremely knowledgeable volunteer. These cats are gorgeous. And BCR's own Scott Lope was just named Animal Planet's HERO OF THE YEAR. That's big, folks. Congratulations to Scott! There were so many cats - white tigers, ligers, ocelots, and lions who really roared. It would be so educational to take your children on one of these tours. They could learn about the difference between sanctuaries and zoos and the exotic animal … (2 comments)
