I ran into one of my past clients who purchased a foreclosure home back in 2008. We reminisced about how horrible the house hunting experience was back then. It was grueling. The homes were dark, cold, smelly and in horrible condition. The photo below is one of the homes we looked at. I remember walking up to the house and commenting look at the gutters, this is not a good sign.
This one had a horrific smell. Yes, that is mold growing on the ceiling.

The Newest Market Stats are out from RBI ( Real Estate Business Intelligence) an MRIS company. Today I am featuring the Northern Virginia report. This report includes Prince William, Manassas and Massassa Park Virginia.
I love this months review, that's because the news is pretty much all good in the real estate world. The commentator brings up a good point. If the weather man reports on the morning news it is raining in Florida, do you automatically grab your umbrella when you head out the door to head to work here in Prince William County Virginia?

As you drive down the street here in Lake Ridge Virginia on any given weekend you see bandit signs in the median strip that says "Lake Ridge Foreclosures". Kind of makes you the driver think, we must have a lot of foreclosures in the area if someone has a spent a lot of money having all those signs printed up to boast about it. Right?

For those who are upside down, who purchased in the height of the real estate market, home values seem to be rising so slow. However for those who purchased in 2008,and 2009, well they are reaping the benefits of their decision to buy!
Let me give you an example. A first time buyer, school teacher purchased a home in September 2008 when the $8000 tax incentive was being offered.
