changes: Have The Winter Blahs? Pick Up A Paintbrush - 01/06/12 03:51 PM
There is no better antidote for the winter blahs than picking up a can of paint and refreshing a room.  It's inexpensive and the impact can be huge.  Whether you're planning on putting your home on the market or just want a little update, you can't get a better return on investment.
Think color when you head for the paint store.  When your walls are white, or off white, you're always fighting to warm up the space.  The new neutrals, the tans, taupes, beiges create a beautiful backdrop for your design, no matter what your style preference.  Many urban settings are going … (6 comments)

changes: Can We See The Forest For The Trees? - 09/16/10 03:29 PM
At the top of the stairs sat a too large plant, all but obliterating the view.  Like a palace guard, too long standing his ground, it was due for a much needed rest.  Gone with him were the large and small photographs in frames chosen more for utility than looks, littering every level space.  Wallpaper, weary from too many years trying to stave off time, pulled away from the walls in a vain attempt to call attention to itself.  It was time to retire them all and make way for the future.

changes: Autumn Resolutions - 09/01/06 11:16 AM
Well it's September 1st and if the dismal landscape outside my window is any indication, summer is over.  I therefore find myself doing what I've always done, since my early school days, I'm planning what needs to change and what I need to proactively do to make my business and my world a better place in which to live.  I've spent so much time this year putting out fires that I think it's time to put down my fire extinguisher and leave that job to the experts while I focus on the positive of a new season and new opportunities. . … (2 comments)

changes: Changes -- The Good, The Bad and The Ugly - 07/15/06 03:08 PM
For the past few years I've heard agents complaining that the white hot market on Long Island made it difficult to make a deal.  With multiple offers forcing unfortunate buyers to bid asking price and often considerably higher to win the home of their choice, and agents queuing up for a chance at the gold ring, local REALTORS(r) lamented their fate and wished for a return to "normalcy."  Well, the expression, "be careful what you wish for, you just might get it," certainly applies here.  There was a hiccup in the market a year ago and for months the media fostered … (1 comments)
