HST is defeated, So what is the impact on Real Estate in Victoria BC The HST (Harmonized Sales Tax) was defeated in a province wide referendum and we are to return to PST/GST (Provincial Sales Tax and Goods & Services Tax) in Victoria and British Columbia. This morning we looked at a number of reports and information related to the HST referendum vote, in what is an historic event and a real victory for democracy regardless how you feel about the GST/PST vs HST issue, and yes it is still very early to draw actual conclusions.
