greater victoria: Walking Under a Blanket of Beauty
- 04/17/11 11:48 AM
Walking Under a Blanket of Beauty, is how Linda and I felt the other day on a little visit to Downtown Victoria It is so easy to take the Beauty and Climate of Greater Victoria for granted, but when Gary Coles posted a few pictures about "Spring in the Rockies" I could not stop shivering and feeling rather cold...... Many people still think that living in Canada automatically means : Ice, Snow, Polar Bears, Mittens and Snow Boots........ In and Around Greater Victoria this could not be further from the truth...... Here are a few pictures from just the other day (11 comments)

Pfanntastic Greater Victoria Senior Suggestions: Giving Your Time Away One of the joys of retirement is that you are into a time of life when making a buck and worrying about using your time “profitably” is less of an issue. But it’s not entirely accurate that all senior citizens want to retire to spend the day rocking on the back porch and taking long naps. Human beings are by nature workers and doers and that need to be productive and be a part of something bigger than yourself doesn’t go away the day you stop working for a living. This is (2 comments)
As many of our clients know, Peter and Linda Pfann, like to share a little wine celebration with our clients from time to time. One of the ways we do this is by way of creating and giving some of our favourite wines, to our friends and clients all over Greater Victoria. We are often asked where we "buy"these wines, some have even tried to find it in your local liquor store, without success....... So let me share a little inside secret. For years now we have created our wines specially for you at: "Island Brew Byou" (0 comments)
Greater Victoria Real Estate Single Family Home Values are (as many other products) affected by Supply and Demand for property in any Area and Property Type. We have all heard the statement that Real Estate is a "Supply and Demand Industry", okay we get it, so how does that affect you the home owner wanting to buy or sell... Over the past years it appears to be the politically correct thing to do, by drawing a bunch of lines on the pavement, and call them bike lanes. In fact, and in my personal opinion, we have gone a bit overboard by now. Between trails, beautification projects and bike lanes it would appear that we have lost sight of a rather basic reality........ Who is paying for all this stuff, and the next obvious question is, who is actually using these trails and lanes. Now keep in mind I am all for proper road design, proper methods to provide safe and (3 comments)

A Greater Victoria BC Real Estate market update and overview as to what is and what is not happening in your area. Currently across all of our VREB service area, we have about 650 more active listings (4,407 this year) compared to last year, and we have for the month of May reported 383 fewer sales compared to last year (496 this year).
