A home is made of material things, i.e., bricks, mortar, wood, cement, sealants, chalking, glass windows, brass, metal hardware, etc. It is not cheese. It doesn't have feelings. However, like humans, a home does age.

A lot has changed in the residential kitchens over the many generations of home buyers. For example, a homeowner in the 1950's was lucky to have a stove, refrigerator, sink, linoleum floors, and if there was a pantry, people were very lucky! It was really special if people owned a Dining Room Table and a China Cabinet. If an owner was lucky, they had a kitchen table in their kitchen. The kitchen table could have been made out of Oak Wood or a metal table and chairs.

The excitement of buying new appliances can soon fizzle when something goes wrong. Most appliances offer at least a one year warranty; however, if you don't know where to look for the Serial Number and Model Number, you will more than likely not get a service person at your house to fix the problem until you provide both Serial Number and Model Number. The person who works for the Manufacturing Company does not care where you live or what your name is - they want your Serial Number and Model Number.
