Do you need flood insurance? The best thing to do is check with your Home Owners Insurance Agent before it begins to rain and floods. To find out if your property or a property in an area you're thinking about buying is in a Flood Zone, check with FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) at www.fema.gov before you make an offer on a new property or a piece of land. Severe weather continues to challenge Texans throughout the state. My deepest empathy goes out to the animals and the livestock. Seven people died over the Memorial Day Weekend; several homes have been damaged due to fire from electrical storms. Here's a small sample of what's happening in Texas now:
