flower mound realtor: A REALTORS LIFE - 02/27/14 11:52 PM
I've known a lot of agents who got into the business because they thought it will be fun because they could make a lot of money by taking people to show them houses. If you have a Real Estate Agent that tells you that, my advice is to RUN... get away from them as fast as you can.
Being a professional requires training, knowledge of the industry, patience, experience, professional skills unique to the Real Estate industry, understanding of human behavior, trust, integrity, and the ability to negotiate on their clients behalf. These are just a few of the skills it takes to … (10 comments)

flower mound realtor: Think Green! - 04/15/11 04:05 AM
April 15, 2011

This little guy found in my Flower Mound garden is hungry for green. How about you?
How would you describe him? Do you notice he seems to have a BIG smile on his face? He isn't drooling or looking desperate. Do you see his bright eyes? He is clearly staying focused. Have you noticed that he is climbing upwards and not backwards? Although I'm sure he can move backwards, he chooses to move upward and onward, isn't he? Do you think he's hanging on...or not? Or do you see him making choices? His feet are slow and steady; yet … (38 comments)

flower mound realtor: 2011 Hill Visit at the Capitol - 04/14/11 02:01 AM
April 14, 2011
Approximately 2,000 REALTORS® stormed the Hill on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 in Austin at the State Capitol. I was honored to join my fellow Texas REALTORS® for a day at the Capitol and advocate for legislation that will benefit your business and property owners. As we stood at the floor, we were able to meet with our constituents or their personal assistants and had opportunity to speak with one voice over issues impacting our business. The architectural beauty at the State Capitol in Texas can not be denied.

We look up to our legisllators to make good … (9 comments)

flower mound realtor: "Your Appointment is Confirmed - There's a Friendly Dog on the Premises" - 04/11/11 02:18 AM
April 11, 2011
"Your appointment has been confirmed; there's a dog on the property and the pet is friendly..." Oh really, how many times have you heard THAT line before? You go over to the property and the dog is barking his head off before you even ring the bell!
You get to the property; the dog is barking - it's NOT  a friendly bark. Your appointment is already scheduled, the people REALLY want to see the house; yet the prospective buyers are not willing to make the first move to go into the house. So, what's … (28 comments)

flower mound realtor: Silent Saturday - When a Bell Tolls - 04/01/11 04:09 PM

Everything I planned to do, I didn't do because the clients called and I was at their beckon call. But in one split moment, the bells tolled. I was alone. I gave adoration. From that moment on, it was quiet... all was good and quiet. The people decided by themselves what needed to be done. Some times silence is the best response.

flower mound realtor: COURAGE - 03/28/11 10:58 PM
March 29, 2011
Real Estate keeps me challenged. This business is about reacting to your struggles and opportunities so that you can make it to the next day, next month, next quarter, next year, next....
What keeps me in the business is COURAGE. Challenges comes along on a daily basis and it takes tremendous courage to just keep going when there's work to be done, bills to pay, a home to maintain, schedules to keep, leads to follow, databases to keep, problem solving with the computer, and most of all personal, financial, and physical responsibilities that requires me to get up … (75 comments)

flower mound realtor: Muscari - Grape Hyacinth - 03/19/11 06:28 AM
March 19, 2011
I am enjoying the Muscari, also known as the Grape Hyacinth in my yard in Flower Mound which is located in close proximity to the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.
The plant grows well at the foot of Post Oak Trees in the corner of my yard where it gets a lot of shade. I began planting Grape Hyacinth in 1998. They have come up every year, without fail. I do nothing to take care of them and they seem to enjoy their own independence. I feel lucky to have them in my garden because they always signal that Spring is … (20 comments)

flower mound realtor: ONE QUARTER DOWN; THREE TO GO!!! - 03/10/11 08:11 AM
March 10, 2011
At the onset of a 2011, people were interested in starting goals for the New Year. For many, it was an opportunity to wipe the slate clean and an opportunity to start fresh. How was your First Quarter? Did you achieve your First Quarter goals? I don't know about you, but I'm ready to start the Second Quarter to make up for First Quarter! (Sound familiar?)
Even though First Quarter Goals may not have been successful as initially planned, it's important to know that we get to reset the clocks just like we do for Day Light Savings Time!!! … (52 comments)

flower mound realtor: Putting A Home On the Market? An Analogy of a Carnival Ride and Wallpaper - 03/01/11 11:40 PM
March 2, 2011
Wallpaper is a very personal thing and the choice of patterns is not suitable to everyone. Even though it may be a popular and a very expensive choice offered during a certain era, over time wallpaper becomes outdated. When a product loses its value and usefulness its only value is to the owners or to a museum. But unfortunately, from the general publics perspective, there is little value and often times becomes an amusement. From this carnival ride here in Dallas which is now being featured near the Galleria off of I635, you can see the patterns that were … (23 comments)

flower mound realtor: Motivational, Inspirational Monday - 02/27/11 08:48 PM
February 28, 2011
As seasons change, so do I. On the right, you'll see the dead, fallen winter leaves. On the left, you'll notice the grass is greener than the other side. The trees overhead look the same, regardless of which side of the street you're on. The brown leaves look old, crisp and dull but the irony is that being so evokes qualities of endurance.

I look for beauty and goodness in all things. Sunlight peers through the trees. The lush green grass is new. Out with the old; in with the new. It's a new day! I relish in the … (18 comments)

flower mound realtor: Sunset Over Flower Mound, Texas With Inspirational Thoughts - 01/07/11 01:34 PM
Walt Disney once said,"All of our Dreams come true if we have the courage to pursue them."

This evening sunset outside my own back door causes me to believe that a home gives one a true a sense of belonging. Dark clouds don't last forever when you believe...

The joy of discovery is an experience that teaches us that each life has its own horizons, it's own sunsets and sunrises but no matter where we are at any point in time, there is beauty under the same sky no matter where we call home.

If, as a result of … (15 comments)

flower mound realtor: Ho Hum the Leaves are Gone and So are the Christmas Decorations - 01/06/11 03:11 AM
While the leaves may have fallen to the ground and the Christmas decorations are slowly but surely being taken down, winter has just begun and for outdoor chores, for many people that means "Out of sight; Out of Mind." If the winters snows have already hit your area, you may have to wait to clean your gutters, but to those who have not had the winter snows yet, that means you still have a chance to get your gutters and downspouts cleaned out, replaced or repaired. Here's why:

Replacement and repairs may be costly and go beyond the cost of … (5 comments)

flower mound realtor: Important Changes for 2011 - 01/02/11 03:29 AM
"To survive, to avert what we have termed future shock, the individual must become infinitely more adaptable and capable than ever before." ---Alvin Toffler (1928-  ), American Author

Out with the Old, In with the New
Now is the time to let go of the past way of thinking and implement changes. Many people associate change with money. It doesn't cost you a dime to change your way of thinking. This is something anyone can do, regardless of what kind of budget you are accustomed to living on. Change is inevitable so why not accept that it is your … (14 comments)
