2017 Patriotic Corvette StingRay
"You have to find that thing about you
that distinguishes you from all others, and through
true talent, hard work, and passion,
anything can happen." --- Dr. Dre
This 2017 Patriotic Corvette StingRay on display at Parkers Square in Flower Mound, TX, recently got me thinking about what motivates people? Clearly, the owner of this beautiful cherry red, fire engine red, or real red Corvette StingRay had a clear perception of style and the impact it has on others. In my mind, the true color here is assertiveness because the owner, a United States Coast Guard Retiree from Frisco, illustrated … (17 comments)

flower mound: Bricks, Sunflower & Flower Mound - 06/11/18 11:16 AM
by Patricia Feager, 6/11/2018
A Dedication to the Sunflower
The sunflower isn't visible from the street,
nor can you see it when you drive around the cul-de-sac,
rather it salutes you at the rear garage.
Like a well groomed tall soldier,
it stands at attention.
The masonry work of the soldier bricks

supporting the shiners separated by mortar beds

above the lintel surrounded by rows of brick and mortar

doesn't get as much attention
as the sunflower.

Sunflowers don't usually grow this close

to houses, unless relocated by a bird,

squirrels, no doubt, who knows

how it got there

but there she grows!
The sunflower with her bright yellow face
welcomes the day and faces the sun.
Texas heat doesn't … (24 comments)

flower mound: In a Seller's Low Inventory Market There is No Shortage - 06/01/18 05:33 AM
In a Seller's Market with low inventory, there is no shortage of hungry Sales Agents. Nor is there a shortage of new agents in your area. Everyone is out to get the same thing - listings and buyers.
Delivering the effective presentation to get the Seller to list is the hallmark of a successful Real Estate Agent. The mailboxes are flooded with direct mail. Phones are ringing. A listing presentation has to produce high impact. The focus isn't solely on low inventory, it is on the ability to convince a home owner to list with you.
Clarity, simplicity, and accuracy in communication is essential. Avoiding miscommunication … (9 comments)

flower mound: Tanks A Lot - 05/31/18 04:51 AM
by Patricia Feager, 5/31/2018
Today is the last day in May. These tanks were on display where the Flower Mound Memorial celebration was held along with the Flower Mound Fire Engine that proudly displayed the American Flag. Freshly still on my mind is, tanks a lot!
What can I say about these Military tanks, except they represent the following:
Freedom Security Envy
Most people understand how important it is to have freedom and security. For this blog post, my emphasis is on envy. Meaning, there are many people from other countries envious of American freedom, security, power, material advantages, way of life, … (37 comments)

flower mound: Inspirational Monday 4/23/18 - 04/23/18 04:54 PM

I just thought I'd log into ActiveRain today to leave you a rose & some inspiration. I hope my rose gives you a little joy. It's grows in my garden. The rose bush is 19 years old. A rose bush begins in the intimacy of hands that plant. I plant rose gardens with my hands, never knowing how big it will grow. Today, it towers over me.
I'm convinced, roses exist to deliver value to society. They have the power to show up, just when you need it most. From my point of view, when the roses bloom in … (8 comments)

flower mound: RAIN - Seven Days and Seven Nights - 02/24/18 06:14 AM
Author: Patricia Feager, 2/24/2018
"Rain is grace, rain is the sky descending to the earth;
without the rain, there would be no earth."
--- John Updike
Flower Mound, TX is having unusual weather. I have not seen so much rain since I left Maine while living and working there during the late 80's and early 90's. February started out cold and dreary. By now, I should be seeing signs of spring but I wonder, will my St. Augustine Grass come back or will the rain change my landscape? Because of soil conditions in North Texas, … (21 comments)

For AR Contest Love Is In the Air - Lisa Von Domek
There are real estate transactions you remember, ones you forget, and rare ones that you can never forget. This is the story of love and how my business relationship evolved with one couple.
In the Beginning
It all began with a listing before TEXT messaging. An Agent called wanting to show but wasn't familiar with Flower Mound. She asked me if I would show my listing to her clients. I agreed; however, the problem is it was one of those spring thunderstorms that would make most people hide indoors. The prospective … (23 comments)

flower mound: Surviving the Winter Blues in Flower Mound, TX - 01/17/18 12:13 PM
Author: Patricia Feager, 1/17/18
Just like people's eating habits change in winter, bird diets do too! In order to survive without insects and berries, birds depend on what's available. A little help from the humans goes a long way to ensure survival of our fine feathered friends. Days are shorter. Nights longer. In the cold of winter, things go dormant. Birds don't just get to shop at Walmart's or Pet Stores, or prop their feet up in front of a cozy fireplace. Nor do they get to stock up like a squirrel. What do birds need … (18 comments)

flower mound: Autumn Flowers in Flower Mound - 11/01/17 12:39 PM
by Patricia Feager, 11/1/2017
As temperatures change between warm and cool, there's still time to see beautiful Autumn colors in Flower Mound and North Dallas. In addition, it's a great time to plant annuals like pansies and kale. Don't forget to plant spring bulbs, such as tulips and daffodils; then mulch to retain moisture and insulate roots against cooler temperatures. Lucky for me, my Chrysanthemums are already blooming and I haven't had to plant new ones for several years. The red ones on the top left are very vivid and they are putting on a show! I planted purple pansies, and purple/golden … (20 comments)

flower mound: Save Not to Buy When Time is Right - Save Time to Live - 11/01/17 05:54 AM
By Patricia Feager, 11/1/2017
The longer it takes for you to think about it, or say to yourself, I need to accumulate more money, the greater the risk you'll have to have what you need to invest when the time comes. The stock market is unpredictable, so is the housing market. When you're in a Buyer's Market, there is low inventory. Generally speaking, properties are listed for more because of supply and demand. When you're in a Seller's Market, you have a greater probability to sell quicker for more money; however, will you have enough … (18 comments)

Entry for Dick Greenberg - Real Life Miscellaneous (Story & Reflection)
©Story & Reflections, by Patricia
As a Tourist with my camera by my side, I spent time walking around the Blue Spring Heritage Center. Slowly I sauntered on the Trail of Tears in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, www.bluespringheritage.com. My heart was pounding; my feet felt the strain and traces of a great Nation of People who traversed to different locations before me. Without a doubt, I navigated through sacred grounds. There, I connected with the natural beauty surrounded by opaque, translucent, and tranquil reflections of Autumn, 2017.

From Flower Mound, Texas it is about … (34 comments)

by Patricia Feager, 10/2017
Growing together as a community to promote good health is one of the many distinct reasons why Buyer's choose Flower Mound, Texas. What sets the Flower Mound Farmer's Market located in Parker's Square apart from other Farmer's Markets in North Dallas is that it's not just about the people choosing plants, vegetables, and fruit. This morning I got to see this beautiful dog sniffing out the barbecue sauces. As soon as he was done, he mozzied on over to another friendly dog for communication.
Flower Mound is known for being a family community where students are included in gathering places. Here … (10 comments)

flower mound: Distinctly Flower Mound - New Construction - 10/11/17 06:33 AM
by Patricia Feager, 2017
As the trend of low inventory and choice selections of older homes continues in Flower Mound, buyers may want to consider new construction. Buying new is a completely different process than buying pre-existing homes. There are advantages and disadvantages. Some things to consider include:
It takes time to build. Builders need lots, permits, planning and zoning, contractors, e.g., engineers, electricians, roofers, glass and window, plumber, and foundation people, just to name a few. They also need materials, and Buyers. The erection of a building takes time and money. Weather and unexpected delays is a factor.
