flower mound: The Seagulls Have Landed! - 02/20/11 06:43 AM
February 20, 2011
This is a quiet little neighborhood pond called Duck Pond in Flower Mound. It's usually occupied with mallards, white ducks, and geese. I was very surprised to see these seagulls at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.

flower mound: Bad Weather Can Bring Out the Best in Other People - 02/06/11 02:34 AM
My INTERNET is finally up and running after a visit from my Internet provider's service technician who worked until 11 PM last night. I was surprised to learn that he has been staying busy from early morning until late at night because of all the bad weather and INTERNET connection problems! When I asked him what was the best part of his job, he said, "helping people and having a chance to talk to them because the customers are not in a hurry to go anywhere."
With the INTERNET down but still having access to my phone and checking on family and friends throughout the U.S. I … (8 comments)

flower mound: ON THE FENCE ABOUT WHETHER TO BUY OR LEASE A HOME? - 02/02/11 12:46 PM

Are you afraid to make a decision about buying a home because of what you hear on the media? A reporter reports the news the way they see things; let's face it, bad news is what gets reported. The fact is there is a lot of good news about the Real Estate Industry and there are as many people who are buying Real Estate at unbelievably low interest rates! A Real Estate Agent hears the stories directly from the people and it's always good to hear about how much happier people are to own, rather than rent. … (13 comments)

flower mound: WHAT IS THIS PRETTY WHITE STUFF CALLED - 01/09/11 06:23 AM
Sunday, January 9, 2011
What is this pretty white stuff? It started out raining this morning here in Flower Mound in the wee early morning. Now, there's a thin white blanket and it's piling up, strategically between the branches and shrubs.

Isn't it BE-AU-TI-FUL! Now it's beginning to feel like Christmas to me! Flakes are gently falling without the blowing air snapping like many who feel that type of sensation living in Northern climates. I am transformed into a kid again! I recall from my former life (Chicago kid) that as an insulator for plants there is nothing better than snow! … (22 comments)

flower mound: Real Estate Agents Are a Different Breed - 12/29/10 07:02 AM
Agents are a different breed. We don't work for an employer who pays us an income for being a number in a budget allocated by a Company. We don't get an expense report reimbursed by a Company. As self-employed consultants, we continuously educate ourselves beyond the piece of paper that states we are a licensed Real Estate Agent. for the entire duration of our profession. We set our own budget, goals, vision, and we market our services to produce income. We still have to pay taxes, insurance, and we have our own family, expenses, sickness and health to maintain. As Agents … (18 comments)

flower mound: Cirrus Clouds Over Flower Mound, TX - 12/27/10 05:17 AM
December 27, 2010, 11:32 a.m. While driving in traffic, I was listening to little Jackie Evancho singing Panis Angelicus on my car radio's CD. In addition to being moved by her angelic voice, I couldn't help but notice and be inspired by the beautiful Cirrus Clouds floating over Flower Mound.
With brush strokes in the Heaven's above and a voice as pure as snow, thoughts filled my head and suddenly the cold, chilly air seemed warmer and brighter. With a combination like that, there's a true sense of belonging and a stronger connection to the Universe that can bring joy and hope.
With just the right song and … (6 comments)

flower mound: WOMEN WINEMAKERS - 12/20/10 03:15 AM
As you make plans for holiday wines, here's some interesting facts about Wines that are made by women. What I found out from attending a wine tasting for these wines, is that the reason why they have been so successful is because the women have taste buds that are unique to women, which makes them more palatable to the female customers. All of these women have made successful careers in wine making.

flower mound: Beyond This Gate - 11/27/10 11:12 AM
I was driving around to check out my listing this afternoon when I came upon this gate. I couldn't help but pause and take a moment to wonder about what goes on beyond this gate. My imagination tells me that where there is a paved road, there is a house. Where there is a house, there is a family. Where there is a family, there are children. Where there are children there is joy and laughter.
For you I unlock this gate to experience your own joy and laughter.

Timber Creek Duck Pond is an amazing place to introduce children to pond life surrounded by many Oak Trees next to Timber Park Elementary School.
