house: BOO! WHAT DOES YOUR HOUSE SAY TO YOU??? - 10/24/22 11:51 AM
Creaky floors:  The floorboards could be rubbing against one another or it could be something else. Some people will offer some of the strangest free advice. Be skeptical. If you had a home inspection previously, you may want to check with the same Home Inspector. Or you could poke around a hardware store and ask or you might try talking to a reputable flooring company and see what they have to offer. Remember, what works for one may not work for all. Professional advice is the better option.

house: Favorite Fall Movies and What Buyers & Sellers Need to Know - 10/11/22 11:56 AM
One of the earliest movies I watched during the month of October around Halloween was Arsenic and Old Lace, starring Cary Grant, Boris Karloff, and Peter Lorre. The movie was produced long before I was born. The movie was in black and white shown on T.V. regularly around Halloween. It was a family favorite. After I grew up and became a REALTOR®, many memories of Arsenic and Old Lace were triggered to the business of selling real estate.
Approval Process
Just as a buyer needing a loan must be approved by a Lender, old movies I watched as a kid had to be approved … (10 comments)

house: Please Read Your Home Insurance Policy - 06/13/22 05:37 AM
Highland Village is a small community bordering Flower Mound, TX. The house burned to the ground yesterday, on June 12, 2022, because the people put barbeque ashes in a trash can and put it in the garage. Nine firetrucks from three cities came to put out the fire. The couple who owns the house are lucky to be alive. The Flower Mound Fire Department provided mutual aid to our neighboring community.

house: WOULD YOU BUY YOUR HOME ALL OVER AGAIN? - 01/28/22 12:30 PM
WOULD YOU BUY YOUR HOUSE ALL OVER AGAIN?

To answer this question honestly, you need information that is accurate and meaningful. Humans, patterns, taste, and architecturally speaking, homes evolve over time. From what you paid, or how much it was worth when you first acquired your home to now, will depend on today’s market and what the buyer is willing to spend.

Our need for square footage, number of bedrooms, baths, garage spaces, location, wall colors or textures, flooring, windows, window treatments, and age for electrical components, plumbing, heating, and air conditioning ages and changes over time. People age too. As in fashion, … (34 comments)

WHEN YOU BELEIVE, DREAMS DO COME TRUE
The year was 1979. Location, Lake Villa, Illinois. I thought I was looking for a home to raise my kids, but as it turned out the front door of the white ranch with shutters in the distance seemed to beckon me to come forward. My first impression was the beautiful backdrop of forest trees behind the house. The TREES got my attention!
It was late spring. The branches were bare but I could already see in my mind’s eye buds on the branches and … (25 comments)

Love & Marriage
This is the story of a couple who fell in love. I knew the bride for several years beforehand. Love radiated when she fell in love. You could see ♥. You could feel ♥. You could be happy to hear about her romantic proposal. They got married and lived in a small apartment making many sacrifices, knowing that when that second lease was up, their goal … (32 comments)

house: The Anatomy & Insights into a House - 12/30/18 05:53 AM
Inspirational Quotes & Something to Think About for 12/30/18
by Patricia Feager

My life revolves around helping others buy and sell houses. I put together a list that contains the insights into the anatomy of a house along with quotes I researched in hopes you will find it interesting, educational, and entertaining enough to want to keep the roof over your head, or the motivation to buy a new house, or sell the one you own. Since ancient times, people have always wanted a sense of belonging. This photo was taken of me while visiting an Archeological Site in Sardina earlier this year.

good coffee, a kind community, and a whimsical imagination."

KIMZEY'S COFFEE SHOP
ARGYLE, TX

Actually, there's nothing wrong with the roof in my photograph taken at a delightful coffee shop in Argyle that serves delicious GOOD coffee unlike anyone else in this small European settlement, population approximately 3,282, settled in 1850. The roof is really designed this way and functions just fine.

WHY NOT GET MARRIED & BUY A HOUSE?
Some people get married just to get away from the home they are living in now. Escaping the life you live, is never a good enough reason to get married. Find true love.

Others get married to get the type of life they think the other person can provide that they can't afford on their own. True love doesn't depend on others to give you what  you need and want. Find true love.

You can't make someone love you, … (22 comments)
