inspiration: What's the Point of Motivation? - 03/18/24 06:06 AM
Motivation can make a lasting impression on people of all ages. The very first quote I heard and memorized was when I was in second grade. My teacher, Miss Ivan said, behind every dark cloud there is a silver lining. As a kid, my imagination captured the silver lining around the cloud and helped get me through some tough challenges in life. |

In between my second and third grade at school, I met head on with many adversities and sorrows. If it wasn't for Miss Ivan, and that image I pasted in my mind, I don't know what would have happened to me. … (13 comments)

inspiration: Inspiration Within Paradise in Dallas - 12/01/23 06:07 AM
PHOTO JOURNALISM by PATRICIA FEAGER, 12/1/2023
The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens is where I found Paradise. The date was November 29, 2023. This is part two written on December 1, 2023 of "Where to Find Paradise in Dallas." Inspiration was waiting.

Our greatest glory is not in never falling
but in rising everytime we fall...annonymous

Is there anyone not attracted to the sound and source of water? No. It wasn't raining on the day I visited the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens. What you see in the photo above in falling water is just a water feature to see and hear the sound of … (7 comments)

inspiration: Architecturally Interesting Homes in McKinney, TX - 10/01/23 07:26 AM
On the way into the Historic District of McKinney, Texas there are several architecturally interesting Tudor Homes that have that Cottage, fairy tale look that appears to be quite different from traditional or historic homes on North Tennessee Street.

Tudor homes typically have massive chimneys, sometimes crowned by decorative chimney pots. This double chimney is funnel shaped. It is definitely different.

The crowned chimney is distinctly noticeable. The front door is arched and to the right facing the front door is a stained glass window. The door and stained glass do blend in with the roof and its interesting pebbles on bricks. I … (31 comments)

inspiration: Truly Thankful Today - 08/28/23 05:09 AM
Today is Motivational Monday. Every now and then, I need to be reminded that the treasures here on earth are not the things made by humans that I own, or wish I had, but the real people in my life who have given me love and appreciation. And I, I have respectfully reciprocated. Life is about what we give and not what we take. Something as beautiful as a sunrise is free for the taking, to immerse within our hearts and soul. And the greatest gift of all is the love of family and friends.

Something as simple and beautiful as a … (30 comments)

inspiration: Definition of a True Champion - 01/27/20 09:45 AM

Challenges can consume you --- if you let them. Or you can get up and meet the challenge. There are no guarantees you will succeed, but if you never try, you never win. If you try more, you may complain less. From a distance people want to see results. Sometimes, the people who matter most, are not really in your sphere of influence at all. It may be someone is observing who you are and what you're doing. If you're their inspiration to succeed, you may never know. Having a positive influence on others without trying, really does benefit the greater … (15 comments)

"If You Want to Achieve Greatness
STOP Asking for Permission."

Imagine you are driving down a country road and your navigation keeps taking you around in circles with a chicken crossing the road. It's not a flock of birds or a brood of chickens, it's a single chicken going back and forth, back and forth. You stop your car and the chicken stops. You wait. Patiently you wait until the chicken gets to the other side of the road.

Life holds many surprises. One must ask simple questions, every single day. Why do we sometimes feel like we are driving around … (50 comments)

inspiration: Inspirational Thoughts & Images of Nature - 07/07/18 09:03 AM

"For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others;
for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness;
and for poise walk with the knowledge that you're never alone."
--- Audrey Hepburn

These photos of mine were captured in Switzerland and other places I traveled in Europe. Aside from cropping to fit the collage, they represent the true form without computer manipulation. Wildlife sets the example of being natural by expressing your own individuality while paying attention to your surroundings. I believe every living creature on earth can connect with others on an emotional level with their eyes and facial expressions.

inspiration: The Magical World of Color - 05/07/17 07:02 AM
by ©Patricia Feager, 5/7/2017

Artscape at the Dallas Arboretum was wonderful. The gardens were literally dripping in color! I saw these vendors selling their wares and couldn't resist - I had to take a photograph.

Interesting people are creative and they brighten up our world. Their fascination with color makes other people happy. An artist challenges me to think outside the box with highlighted thoughts in brighter colors. Through their work, an artist makes bold statements and we begin to see things differently. Not everything is black and white, soft and hard, large or small. Variations in thought is what makes it a more … (24 comments)

inspiration: "So no matter what happens, no storm is too great..." - 02/05/17 07:09 AM

Nobody wants their computer hacked. That's how my day started on Saturday, 2/4. While waiting for the blessed Computer Geek to fix my computer, I remembered there was a Health Fair at Texas Presbyterian Hospital in Flower Mound. The speaker was one of the amputees from the Boston Marathon. I rushed to the hospital to hear her speak.

I begin this story with a happy ending, words out of the mouth of one of the many victims of the Boston Marathon bombers:

inspiration: What Inspires Me Is the Sunrise - 09/11/16 07:25 AM

Sunrise

What inspires me is the sunrise. It's a revelation. Every time I see a sunrise, it gives me hope. The one in my photograph was the last one I saw on the day I left an inspiring 2016 Texas Association of REALTORS® Convention in Galveston. The sun rises everywhere around the globe. I am in awe each time I see a sunrise because no two are alike. Yet, it is always a breathtaking experience.

What does a sunrise mean to me? It's a new day! It is a sign of hope! There is a reason to get up in the morning and … (28 comments)

inspiration: Phenomenal Views of Aurora Borealis - 04/18/16 10:30 AM

AWARENESS
The Aurora Borealis is the greatest show on earth! I was lucky enough to see it once in the late 1980's. This new video from NASA is going viral and I just had to share it for inspiration and hope. The broad swept light spectrum of colors possesses a vibrant spirit coming alive and in living color seen through phenomenal views from outer space. Green is soft, luscious, delicious, and mysterious. Its light dances in air and embodies the mind's eye with inspiration.
The brilliant illumination of the color green produces creative energy searing through transformation into ultramarine blue, the red of passion, and … (27 comments)

When you wish upon a star and you believe in dreams they can come true!

All our dreams can come true
if we have the courage to pursue them
---- Walt Disney

Where does this story begin? It is about a family who comes from the Netherlands to Pilot Point, TX to fulfill a dream. First, you need to have a passion. Then, you add love, really love what you're doing. All it takes is creating, planning, implementing, planting, designing, digging, evaluating, fighting the elements in nature to survive, maintaining the farm, having the money to make your dream become a reality, then … (12 comments)

inspiration: See What I See - 1st Week in March 2016 - 03/05/16 11:47 PM

A Real Estate Agent sees lots of things when showing properties. Here are my favorites for the first week in March. I'll make this a weekly series.

When I saw this little tree, the word RECYCLE came to mind. The title for this photo is TWIGS not PINES. Christmas trees are so beautiful but with so many people on earth, are we doing the world any good by chopping down Pine Trees to bring them indoors for a short period of time only to watch them die before our color lighted eyes?

When I got to this intersection I thought about my dad. … (19 comments)

Are you looking to buy a new home? Find your energy! Follow your passion! My advice comes from experience and the professional expertise I have acquired over time working with buyers and sellers. Let your search begin with the inspiration that comes from within. Ask yourself the following questions:

What makes you come alive? What gives you inspiration? What are your life time goals? What's your personality style? What can you afford? What can't you afford?
When I was young, my hopes and dreams were different, because they included family and friends. I wanted to make a good impression on others. … (12 comments)

inspiration: Life is Beautiful! - 04/02/12 02:56 PM
Good Morning Active Rainers!
I’m outside of my comfort zone, loving every minute. After existing 435 from Tampa I merged onto I-10 West toward Tallahassee. My journey began Sunday afternoon on April 1. The flight was a challenge – the pilot was strange talking to us about deteriorating weather conditions and that’s why we weren’t getting any food service. I’m so glad to be back on solid ground, driving back home, Carrie Underwood singing, “Jesus Take the Wheel,” sucking Florida oranges, it doesn’t get much better than that!
By morning, I’ll be close to Pensacola, Florida. The road to Dallas is … (35 comments)
