patricia feager: Cost vs. Benefit of The Bradford Pear Tree - 03/04/11 05:02 AM
March 4, 2011
The Bradford Pear Tree makes a showy spring entrance into this Flower Mound neighborhood community.

While beautiful to look at, it is not a native tree to Texas. When planting trees for landscaping on smaller lots, please check with your local nursery to find out the pros and cons of what grows best in your specific area. Trees should also grow in proportion to the house and the size of the lot.
One of the main pros for the Bradford Pear Tree is that it is resistant to sickness or blight; the con is that trees can … (11 comments)

patricia feager: Putting A Home On the Market? An Analogy of a Carnival Ride and Wallpaper - 03/01/11 11:40 PM
March 2, 2011
Wallpaper is a very personal thing and the choice of patterns is not suitable to everyone. Even though it may be a popular and a very expensive choice offered during a certain era, over time wallpaper becomes outdated. When a product loses its value and usefulness its only value is to the owners or to a museum. But unfortunately, from the general publics perspective, there is little value and often times becomes an amusement. From this carnival ride here in Dallas which is now being featured near the Galleria off of I635, you can see the patterns that were … (23 comments)

patricia feager: Motivational, Inspirational Monday - 02/27/11 08:48 PM

As seasons change, so do I. On the right, you'll see the dead, fallen winter leaves. On the left, you'll notice the grass is greener than the other side. The trees overhead look the same, regardless of which side of the street you're on. The brown leaves look old, crisp and dull but the irony is that being so evokes qualities of endurance.

I look for beauty and goodness in all things. Sunlight peers through the trees. The lush green grass is new. Out with the old; in with the new. It's a new day! I relish in the … (18 comments)

patricia feager: WOMEN WINEMAKERS - 12/20/10 03:15 AM
As you make plans for holiday wines, here's some interesting facts about Wines that are made by women. What I found out from attending a wine tasting for these wines, is that the reason why they have been so successful is because the women have taste buds that are unique to women, which makes them more palatable to the female customers. All of these women have made successful careers in wine making.

patricia feager: THOUGHTS FOR EVERYDAY - 12/20/10 12:44 AM
December 20, 2010

When you find your passion, and you act on your passion, your energy follows. You need to be energized to tackle the challenges that comes your way. No matter where you live, what you do, regardless of the weather or economic conditions, it takes  initiative and a willingness to change - nobody can do it but you.
Change is constant; change doesn't have to last forever. Change is a matter of perspective and our attitude about change is what makes the difference. Being in a fog can be … (8 comments)

patricia feager: TO TEXT OR NOT TO TEXT - THAT IS THE QUESTION - 12/19/10 03:11 AM
In running a business, when is it appropriate to TEXT? Is the Smart Phone really all that smart or has texting gotten out of control? Since purchasing Real Estate is one of the most expensive investments a person can make, as Agents we have an obligation and a responsibility to make sure that nothing we say or do in writing can be taken out of text and/or misinterpreted.
What I find annoying are all those abbreviations that people are using whenever they send a text.  Since anything we do can and will be subject to interpretation in the court of law, how … (8 comments)
