photographs: Motivational Monday for July 31, 2023 - Footprints - 07/31/23 05:09 AM
Purging photos stored on a cell phone is a good thing to do - except when you discover a keeper. This photo was taken while vacationing in Yucatan during September 2014. I found it was too good to remove. Pleasant memories should never go away.
Throughout our lives, we leave our footprints behind. Somewhere in the sand above, I left my footprints on the beach. Wherever we go we leave pieces behind of who we are, and we never really leave a place we love. Do we?
Time may sail by; yet old photographs help us to remember the good times and it … (26 comments)

Good morning!
What is special about Tuesday? I thought to myself. Carpe Diem! Which is an ancient phrase by Roman Poet Horace, meaning "Pluck the Day!" Translated as "Seize the Day!" And now I wonder. Why did I take that picture? What was the inspiration? Why … (21 comments)

"It's not what you look at that matters, it's what you see."
--- Henry David Thoreau

Happy Monday! My daughter sent me a photo of herself in the Swiss Alps yesterday and her picture reminded of a meaningful quote by Henry David Thoreau. As the receiver of this photograph, I see my daughter cares about me. How many times do people take photos that seems meaningless, i.e., cup of coffee, a plate of vegetables, fruit, or desert, etc. Posting various digital photos are a common trend on Instagram, Facebook, and other Social Media Platforms. People are taking advantage of digital photos … (20 comments)

by Patricia Feager, 4/17/2018

Assuming you can do it later, at a more convenient time rarely gets the same results. For more discussion, see a few of my favorite photographs captured on my recent vacation to Switzerland … (20 comments)
