SIGNALS

The only person who should recognize the traffic lights
at this intersection where I waited for the lights to change is
Kat Palmiotti

Dreams. We all have dreams about what we would like to do, where we want to go, and what we would like to accomplish. On the day this photo was taken, I just left my hotel and was heading home waiting for the lights to change. The sun rose to meet me and the red lights signaled that waiting patiently is an opportunity to stop and think carefully.

Change. It is just a matter of time when we can … (25 comments)

If you want my two cents about what I think about patience when it comes to Real Estate during a Seller's Market when inventory is low, here are my personal opinions:

Waiting for new Active Listings when inventory is low may require patience but waiting because you want to sleep on it before making a decision to make an offer may be … (32 comments)

real estate: If A Bird Can Sing After A Storm, Why Can't We? - 06/24/19 06:51 PM
Inspirational thoughts for 6/24/19
by Patricia Feager

After the 4th stormy weekend, I gave thanks for being safe. While I was in Fort Worth I noticed the most unusual bird that seemed to come out of nowhere. Dressed in purple, black, and white feathers with the color blue around the eyes I stood in wonder looking at this most beautiful creature that soars through the air and accepts whatever challenges come his or her way!

Something I love to do is visit Art Museums. The Kimble Museum in Fort Worth is my personal favorite. I have noticed that in many ancients works of art … (10 comments)

real estate: From False Teeth to Diesel Engines - Live Green!!! - 11/16/18 04:24 PM
Inspirational Thoughts for 11/16/18
by Patricia Feager

"With all this talk of Going Green, Buying Green,
Living Green, and Green being the New Whatever,
I've come to realize that, although we had no Green,
my Grandmother was actually the "Greenest"
Person I've ever known."
---Joy Bryant

(Or was it Grandpa and/or the Neighborhood Grease Monkey?)

When I saw this product on the shelf in the Soap aisle, "Charlies Soap" practically jumped out at me! This bottle labeled, "Cleans everything from False Teeth to Diesel Engines," had me curious, how about you? Although tempted to buy, I got more laughs that day picking up random shoppers inside the store and pointing out … (14 comments)

Inspiration 11/9/18

For the November Contest
"Thankfulness," for Debbie Reynolds

Today is my 9th entry for the November Challenge, "What Are you Thankful For?" I am thankful for "The People," who came into my life when I needed them most and didn't even know how much they were needed. Here's a snapshot of what I mean.

This photo was taken last September in Kalispell, Montana. I found myself alone at a coffee shop. There, I could smell the scent of delicious hot coffee and taste it too! I could hear the voices of people, talking about bears and people stories. I saw decor and landscape unique … (9 comments)

EXPECTATIONS

PLANTING IN ADVANCE
Chrysanthemums make great fall plants and flowers. Planted in the spring makes great expectations to have something to look forward to in the Fall. When planted at the right time for your zone, the timing of growth is always predictable and pretty accurate.

While flipping through channels between 2:00 and 3:00 a.m., I noticed different channels all with the same type of show called "Make $$ in Real Estate Locally." This post reflects a continuous interest in the media, different channels, same message, promoting consumer interest in making money in real estate using stars on T.V. to capture a late night audience by using fast talkers who are marketing themselves as experts while talking about how easy it is to become rich if you follow their program. First and foremost, I'm not an advocate for this type of selling real estate … (29 comments)

real estate: Real estate is a Real business about Real people - 06/15/18 09:36 AM
by Patricia Feager, 6/16/2018

No matter how successful a business appears, success just didn't happen by good looks, good luck, or good fortune. First, there has to be a vision and clear direction. People just down blow out a birthday candle and wish for success, they have to work at becoming successful every single day. Having a plan in place is the foundation for successful opportunities and growth. Creating success doesn't appear with the help of a magic wand. It takes grit and courage.

To be successful you must have good experiences, build great relationships, have education and continuously invest in people, new technology, … (26 comments)

real estate: So You Think Property is For Sale but it's Not - Part 2 - 02/13/18 09:22 AM
Author: Patricia Feager, 2/13/2018

In a recent post So You Think Property is For Sale but it's Not many agents from throughout the United States shared the same concerns. To the consumers, here's my best shot at providing an explanation as to why you contact  your own Local Real Estate Agent for the correct information.

First, I want to convey to you, agents need other licensed agents. We work together as a team with other agents, the Title Company, Lenders, Attorneys too! We depend on reputable resources. We are licensed by our state; some agents are licensed in multiple states. We have rules and regulations … (9 comments)

For AR Contest Love Is In the Air - Lisa Von Domek

There are real estate transactions you remember, ones you forget, and rare ones that you can never forget. This is the story of love and how my business relationship evolved with one couple.

In the Beginning

It all began with a listing before TEXT messaging. An Agent called wanting to show but wasn't familiar with Flower Mound. She asked me if I would show my listing to her clients. I agreed; however, the problem is it was one of those spring thunderstorms that would make most people hide indoors. The prospective … (23 comments)

real estate: From Ordinary to Extraordinary Business At Hand - 09/01/17 07:54 AM
by Patricia Feager, 9/1/2017

The days between 8/21 through 8/25 (Solar Eclipse, Hurricane Harvey), and the days that followed have been quite extraordinary and anything but ordinary. In addition to the National news I have spent quite a bit of time at doctor appointments and taking care of business. Like current events and business, there's always something to learn. Ordinary and extraordinary circumstances makes all the difference.

Doctor #1 - An ordinary doctor, operates in routine fashion. #1 is the Doctor; I am the impatient patient. Nothing personal, doctor is simply ordinary.

Doctor #2 - Extraordinary; anything but ordinary. Here are examples of what … (7 comments)

This story comes at the heels of the recent re-blog I posted from Gene Mundt, IL/WI Mortgage Originator - FHA/VA/Conv/Jumbo/Portfolio/Refi, a few days ago called:
TV Home Buying & Home Renovation Shows: Fact VS Fiction:
Today, was one of those mornings when I had a very early doctor's appointment in Dallas, Texas. As I sat in the waiting room with a lot of sick people, some were coughing, several wearing masks over their mouth, and others chasing kids, I tried to read, but had difficulty concentrating. The T.V. was playing and when they mentioned Plainfield, Illinois it peaked my interest. I … (30 comments)

A licensee in Real Estate has the best of both worlds and knows the difference between success and failure. No one who enters this profession is the same person from the time they began their career until they retire - which for most is never.

real estate: The Most Important Aspect of a Real Estate Transaction - 06/17/17 08:52 AM
by Patricia Feager, 6/17/2017

F&Q - Part 5 of 5

What is the most important aspect of a Real Estate Transaction?

Communication is the most important aspect of purchasing a home. Our brains are lateralized and depending on whether a person is left brain or right brain, humans process information in different ways. The ability to remember what we see, hear, read, and write is critical to achieving success. Effective communication is necessary to feel comfortable.

Effective communication is a skill that takes practice to comprehend words, understand meaning, talk back with cogency, intelligence, and express feeling. Language has been evolving before we were even … (43 comments)

real estate: Hot Market... And I'm Feeling Good - 04/19/17 05:53 AM

"Here's the challenge: Share 3 strategies, tips or ideas that increase the chances your offers are noticed and accepted. Get creative and don't be afraid to share a little secret or two. We are kindred spirits and have shared before. This will help all of us..."

Debbie Reynolds presents another April challenge and let me tell you, Texas has been in a hot market for a long, long time. Three ways I found that "increase," the probability that your offer is noticed and accepted are:

1) Staying current with market reports, MLS listings, "Coming Soon," and keeping your ears to the ground is imperative! … (35 comments)

real estate: Brands That Have Shaped My life - 03/03/17 06:55 AM

Brands I have come to know, like, and trust outside of the Real Estate Industry and how they have shaped the way I think about my own Real Estate business.

EVEREADY BATTERIES - AN AMERICAN MADE PRODUCT

Invention and innovation have played an important role in the lives of consumers. My perception on consumer products was shaped by personal life experiences, my parents, and their parents. In 1896, Eveready was the first manufacturer to develop dry cell batteries. They reinvented themselves in the late 1950's when they introduced alkaline technology. I was part of the first generation that experienced portable power. Transistor radios … (24 comments)
