texas realtor: Off the Beaten Path - San Antonio, TX - 09/14/12 11:07 PM

CHEERS!

Many people visit the famous RiverWalk and The Alamo in San Antonio which I strongly recommend. But if you want to get away from the Tourist attractions and you desire to see something really special while rubbing elbows with veterans who proudly served in WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Persian Gulf, Afghanistan and Iraq, I would encourage you venture off the beaten path to experience and enjoy V.F.W Post 76. This is a place where soldiers, those that served, and families hang out. Here I had the best time!

texas realtor: Life is Good - Remember the Alamo - 09/13/12 05:58 AM

LIFE IS GOOD

The TEXAS REALTORS® CONFERENCE in San Antonio 2012 proved to be a huge success. Once again, I am proud to say I am a Texas Realtor® and extremely proud of our Texas Association of REALTORS®. They are responsible for putting on educational events in various locations, which I consider myself to be fortunate because they are very valuable.  I stayed at the Crockett Hotel, located across from The Alamo. For me, the American Spirit came alive! The Alamo is a place of remembrance, courage, inspiration, reflection and honor. In my own personal way, I walked on … (32 comments)

texas realtor: Life is Good With MCE (Mandatory Continuous Education) - 06/22/12 09:09 PM
Every study of high achieving men and women proves that greatness in life is only possible when you become outstanding at your chosen field. --- Brian Tracy
One of the things I love most about being a Texas REALTOR® is MCE (Mandatory Continuous Education). The foundation of my professional career in based on education. Unlike other degrees or Certifications that I have achieved as a Business Woman, being a licensed REALTOR® holds me to a higher standard. This week I set aside time for an  MCE class learning about Texas Title Insurance. A Title is the collective ownership records of a piece … (12 comments)

texas realtor: Pisa, Tuscany, Italy - The Piazza del Duomo, or the Cathedral Square & I was There! - 05/13/11 04:03 AM
May 13, 2011
This post is a continuation of my adventures in Europe which features the architectural wonders of Pisa,Tuscany, Italy, the Piazza del Duomo, i.e., location of the Leaning Tower of Pisa! This place is surreal! I couldn't believe that I was there, just because of a dream come true. When it comes to turning back the pages in time, who doesn't fall in love with horses? This is the Cathedral Square, which is highly regarded as one of the main centers for medieval art in the world.

The Cathedal Square, named for the fact that the Square is … (44 comments)

A Strong Country Needs Strong Leadership
While standing in front of the Capitol building in Austin, Texas, on Tuesday, April 12, 2011, these words jumped out at me. They were carved in stone on the corner of the three-story castle-like structure of mid-19th century mock-medieval revival architectural style. I believe with my whole heart and soul that a strong country needs strong leadership and the protection of people's rights are the primary purpose of the law.

A Free Society
In order to have a free society, there has to be mutual respect between the government and the people. There … (22 comments)

April 3, 2011

"We need to find God, and he cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence. See how nature - trees, flowers, grass-grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, see how they move in silence... We need silence to be able to touch souls."  --- Mother Teresa

texas realtor: Silent Saturday - When a Bell Tolls - 04/01/11 04:09 PM

Everything I planned to do, I didn't do because the clients called and I was at their beckon call. But in one split moment, the bells tolled. I was alone. I gave adoration. From that moment on, it was quiet... all was good and quiet. The people decided by themselves what needed to be done. Some times silence is the best response.

texas realtor: First Thoughts of the Day - 03/31/11 11:30 PM
April 1, 2011
It's 4 o'clock in the morning and I can finally hear myself think. All day long, I think of other people and their needs, wishes, desires; now it's my turn. The dishwasher has finally quit running and I just put away the dishes. The washing machine just started up and outside my window I hear the sound of the sprinkler system watering my garden. My teabag is seeping, I can almost taste my tea and honey. The sounds I hear all have something to do with water. I pause to rub my watery eyes.
"All is born of … (39 comments)

texas realtor: COURAGE - 03/28/11 10:58 PM
March 29, 2011
Real Estate keeps me challenged. This business is about reacting to your struggles and opportunities so that you can make it to the next day, next month, next quarter, next year, next....
What keeps me in the business is COURAGE. Challenges comes along on a daily basis and it takes tremendous courage to just keep going when there's work to be done, bills to pay, a home to maintain, schedules to keep, leads to follow, databases to keep, problem solving with the computer, and most of all personal, financial, and physical responsibilities that requires me to get up … (75 comments)

March 26, 2011
The Texas Bluebonnets are beginning to poke their noses out of the ground. Photos were taken on Friday, March 25. Here's a sample for your enjoyment.
Texas Bluebonnet
Lupinus texensis(Fabaceae)
A hardy winter annual native to Texas. Adopted as the "State Flower of Texas", this is the most commonly seen variety along roadsides and in uncultivated pastures throughout the state. texas realtor: Is Every Man A Puzzle? - 03/15/11 01:56 AM
March 15, 2011
The artist in this photo illustrates how much the human body is like a puzzle. Her art, the Puzzle Man was demonstrated at the Texas Storytelling Festival in Denton, Texas on March 12, 2011.

The only part of the Puzzle Man that was missing when the picture was taken was the man's brain. Through storytelling and audience participation, a noodle brain was created and added to the back of the head.
I always believed that the human body is one big puzzle and that we are all connected through our genes and the personal people that connect with us throughout our life. … (39 comments)
