texas: When Buying a Home, What's On Top Counts!!! - 06/19/19 09:58 AM
Educational Post for 6/19/19
by Patricia Feager

Real Estate Agents are not expected to be Home Inspectors or Roofers. When it comes to a home purchase, roofing, and construction matters! During spring and summer in Texas, we can get thunderstorms and hail. When I have questions about my roof, I stop at my local insurance company and ask lots of questions. I have been told the best time to inspect is when you obviously have leaks and know there is a problem. However, visibility from down below isn't always reliable. That's why they recommend you get a free inspection with no obligation by … (6 comments)

Everyone in Texas is feeling the Flower Mound Pride. Not only did the Flower Mound Marching Band participate in the 2019 Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade on New Year's Day, but they also marched and the Band played on at Disney on January 2, 2019. Their colorful band uniforms were just as bright and beautiful as the Band Members.

Students who are drawn to music feel connected to the music and each other. They are a Team. Creativity flows like a river and when everyone is marching to the tune of their own instrument success is most likely. … (11 comments)

texas: North Texas Winter Weather Pet Safety Tips - 01/03/19 02:42 AM

Winter weather pet safety tips

Temperatures hover near freezing in and around North Texas means winter weather advisories should be taken seriously. It is critical that pet owners prioritize their safety. All pets are required to have access to an adequate warm, dry shelter once the actual or effective temperature reaches 32 degrees.
Check your local city pet ordinances to find out what the law requires with regards to having adequate shelter. The safest option is to bring your pets indoors.
Animal Shelters are available to assist if you see a pet that you believe is in distress or is left outdoors in temperatures 32 … (12 comments)

by Patricia Feager, 10/2/18

If you don't know anything about Texas, don't be surprised if people say Texas is its own country or like a whole other country. According to history books, it became its own country called "The Republic of Texas," from 1836 until it joined the Union in 1845. Sixteen years later, Texas and 10 other states formed a Confederacy until the Civil War forced it back into the Union where it has stayed ever since.

FROM A BIRD'S EYE POINT OF VIEW

Just like people's eating habits change in winter, bird diets do too! In order to survive without insects and berries, birds depend on what's available. A little help from the humans goes a long way to ensure survival of our fine feathered friends. Days are shorter. Nights longer. In the cold of winter, things go dormant. Birds don't just get to shop at Walmart's or Pet Stores, or prop their feet up in front of a cozy fireplace. Nor do they get to stock up like a squirrel. What do birds need … (18 comments)

texas: Texas Sky - 07/24/17 11:25 PM

Today is Tuesday, 12:58 a.m. I can't stop thinking about the big, beautiful Texas sky. As of late, I am mesmerized, seeing amazing cloud formations, and gorgeous sunsets. I wonder what people are seeing on the other side of the globe? This shot was taken in Carrollton, Texas. It stopped me in my tracks. I wasn't the only one looking up or the only one taking photos. The following photo expresses my thoughts about deriving pleasure out of nothing but a cloud.

texas: Are You Anticipating Spring? - 02/26/17 07:31 AM
Musings  by ©Patricia Feager, 2/26/2017

The anticipation of spring is always a fascination with me. As a homegrown Midwestern girl, I was fascinated by the weather and the storms that lit up the sky at night. I could be perched on my front porch protected by a red and white canopy chasing storms across the sky with my eyes shifting from left to right, up and down. Raindrops falling on the metal canopy sounded like a symphony until a thunderclap caused me to practically jump out of my skin!

Childs play is hard work. You're always thinking, imagining, creating thoughts inside your head and … (28 comments)
