Thinking about Thanksgiving Day raises awareness about gratitude. We know there is a lot to be thankful for year-round; however, when the day is set aside as a National Holiday it extends appreciation to others in special ways that ordinarily might have been taken for granted. PONDER THIS… Veteran’s Day, also historically known as Armistice Day is commemorated on November 11th, as the cessation of hostilities in WW1 which went into effect 103 years ago on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month in the year 1918.   
On November 11th of each year, we honor all American Veterans of all wars for their sacrifices, patriotism, and willingness to serve for the greater good. A soldier knows there is no greater sacrifice than to lay down your life for another because that is what love of country means.
