by Patricia Feager, 10/9/2017 DRAGONFLY I captured the beauty of a blue dragonfly in Dallas on Sunday afternoon, 10/8/2017. His head looks like a marble, don't you think? They say a dragonfly has the eyes of a predator with 30,000 lenses. A dragonfly can see in every direction simultaneously. They are focused on watching prey as it flies in their scope of vision. Even more incredible, it eats food equal to its own body weight in about a half hour. It's prey rarely, if ever escapes. Once trapped, it is eaten.
