We already showed you how we are keeping heat or cold out of the basement on the inside and outside of the foundation walls. The floor of the basement is the final dimension to be insulated. First the radiant barrier is installed on the ground. On top of that we lay 3 inches of reclaimed foam insulation (R15). Finally we pour 4 to 5 inches of cement which actually makes up the floor.
