One of the first questions a potential buyer asks is “Why are they selling?” There are many answers to this question in the Adult, over 55 communities: 1. We want a smaller house 2. We want a bigger house 3. We want to be on the Golf Course 4. We want to be closer to the grandchildren 5. Health reasons These are all valid reasons for selling a home. Wow. I just got off the phone with a supervisor from a large aerospace corporation Credit Union in Washington State. Before my client can get his FHA loan, all people involved, Appraiser, Real Estate Agent, Insurance Company, Escrow Officer Etc. must have their names run through a Government data bank. New FHA rules. Because I have a common last name, Smith, they needed my middle initial. The supervisor then went on to tell me that the Government has a “list”. Reading for your soul I just finished rereading “The Princessa” Machiavelli for Women by Harriet Rubin. I forgot how much I enjoyed the book. When I read it the first time it was about 15 years ago and my life was very different. The Rotary Club of Sun City West hosts its 10th annual “Swing Your Heart” benefit golf tournament Monday, April 9 at the Briarwood Country Club.
