The Lakeland FL Mayfaire starts out with a bang on Saturday Night May 11th from 5:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. Bring your lawn chair or blankets for a free party on the shores of Lake Mirror. The Mayfaire Classic 5K Race kicks off this event along with fireworks after the sun sets of beautiful Lake Mirror. There are vendors for you to buy food and drinks or you can bring your own and have a family picnic.

Lakeland Florida is in full swing of holiday events. Free events are happening and a couple of them I want to mention which will take place at the Main Library located at 100 Lake Morton Drive, Lakeland FL.
Saturday December 15th from 10:00 a.m. - Noon, a Santa's Workshop takes place where children can take home a free holiday craft. This is a fun packed event for kids who love arts and crafts.

With schools back in session and hopefully the summer heat starting to subside there are things to do around Lakeland, Florida. Events for the whole family including the dogs! Some of the special events happening in Lakeland include the Downtown Farmers Curb Market, First Fridays, and the Cardboard Boat Challenge. Of course if you are looking for something to do on a weekly basis there are the numerous High School Football teams which would love support from their community every Friday night.

Lakeland, FL is the place to be! there are so many things to do in Lakeland Florida for this weekend’s 4th of July holiday celebration as local events are the best Family Entertainment.
First Friday is celebrated on the first Friday of every month and this free event is themed “Red, White & Kaboom”. It’s happening downtown Lakeland around Munn Park (Kentucky and Tennessee Avenue) July 1st, 2011 starting at 6 p.m - 9:15 p.m.
