donothings: Government workers now officially getting paid for doing nothing

One of the privileges of living in this country is being able to enjoy at close range the greatest spectator event in the world. If one can resist getting too caught up in the heat of the stagnation, watching government do nothing can be very amusing and entertaining. Many of us understand that there are 535 (some would argue 537) do-nothings occupying space in our capital. The term do-nothing may be a little harsh since they have actually done two things recently. If one could attempt to find a silver lining in the antics of our elected do-nothings, perhaps we could say that they are in total agreement that the other side is to blame. Unfortunately, that will not make the lives of 300 million people better. A month ago, I wrote that it was not realistic to expect action from a group of people who specialize in failing to act. Now, some folks are even claiming that it will be good if we merrily sail off the cliff at midnight. Financially, we will not be better off because the do-nothings fail again (5 comments)
