eclipse: I Don't Need To See Another Solar Eclipse

In 1984, I briefly glanced at the partial solar eclipse as it passed through Minnesota. It wasn't for more than a few seconds, and it is still there. Whenever I close my eyes, there is a partial eclipse that is a permanently scarred after-image for my reference. Today, the image is slightly less vivid than in 1984, and I seldom notice it unless deliberately checking. It is identical to the eclipse that I saw 33 years ago. So, while everyone else in the path of the eclipse is watching with what I hope will be protective glasses, I will be watching a wine (16 comments)
