christmas: Kids Are Truly Amazing!

October 2 years ago we lost my father in law to cancer. He passed away on October 29th. and was buried on October 31st. from that moment our lives changed. Holidays became totally different. Thanksgiving was his favorite holiday. He loved his Turkey & Dressing and Banana Pudding! Since Thanksgiving was his favorite my sister in law decided for some strange reason we would no longer celebrate Thanksgiving. We recently were given the opportunity to crochet for a program called Hats For Heroes. These hats go to the soldiers to wear under their helmets. When they told me about this I quickly volunteered. The only problem with that is I don't know how to crochet. I called my mother and said I need your help and explained that I needed her to teach me how to crochet and quick! She told me you can't crochet. I asked what do you mean I can't? She said Paula, your left handed and left handed people can't crochet??? WHAT I SAID!!! Well … (0 comments)
christmas: Salvation Army Bell

As you all well know the time is upon us that the Salvation Bell is ready to be rang. I volunteered last year for my first time and it was really a great experience! I learned that women were less likely to give than men. I watched countless women go out of their way to act like I wasn't even standing there. That was amazing too me. Not the fact that they acted like I was invisible because they may have not had the money.
