Hi Active Rainers,
Quick question - do you send out Open House follow-ups to folks who attended?
If you need inspiration for an email to send out, check out the infographic below (heck, you can even type it out verbatim). Off topic thought: wouldn't it be nice if infographics were copy and pasteable?.
If you're in need of any conversation starters and/or navigation - check out Your Open House Follow-Up Scripts.
Make your next Open House THAT much more fulfilling with Your Open House Plan Of Action (Includes Infographic).
Hope your week is off to a fabulous start!

open house: Open House. Close Deals. (A Plan Of Action) - 01/03/18 04:32 PM

Howdy ActiveRainers,
How's 2018 treating you?
Although I remember reading previous posts containing something to the effect of: "I refuse to do Open Houses" or "Gee, I don't really see the point," I've taken the liberty of revamping one of our previous blog posts and turning it into an infographic (which, as you can see, provides some Open House tips and guidelines).
So, whether you organize and attend them or not - you likely know somebody who does and might find this useful. ;-)
P.S. - click here for full access to the Open House Follow-Up Scripts mentioned in the infographic.

open house: Home Staging: Make It Or Break It. - 12/12/17 01:40 PM

Hey ActiveRainers,
I decided to open up a topic that's already been extensively covered (yet unyielding in it's importance): essential home staging tips.
We all know staging can (seriously) make or break a deal - thus, our need to underscore proper advice and empowering guidance.
When you have a quick moment, feel free to check out the infographic I created below. I'd love to hear your feedback and find out if there's anything in particular I missed in terms of preparation and coverage.
Do you agree and/or disagree with any/all of these?
What did I leave out that you find imperative in the process?

open house: Hosting an Open House this weekend? Keep in mind this mantra - 05/20/16 04:20 AM
The neighbors that you meet are curious for a couple of reasons:
1) They don't have a real estate agent providing them with neighborhood information to keep them informed.
2) Like many, their agent has left the business because they weren't able to succeed.
Why do we say this?
-Every Email Counts.
-Every Call Counts.
-Every Conversation Counts.
Tomorrow you may meet someone that is considering selling in the future.
Tomorrow your database will get a few new names.
Tomorrow, engage in conversations that matter and ask questions that last.
Let this be your mantra:
Tomorrow you will forge new relationships and meet new people that will see how driven, … (3 comments)

open house: Darth Vader Was Right (+Website TLC): Week-By-Week Marketing Pt. I - 04/27/16 04:43 AM

Your Week-By-Week May Marketing Roundup Part I

Ideally, you'll want to start each week by following up with your buyer and seller leads, from any weekend Open House(s) you may have hosted or attended, with Parts I & II of your Open House Follow-Up Phone Script.  By the way - don't forget about your preparatory Plan Of Action we wrote for you.
Are you familiar with Star Wars Day on May 4th? (aka - "May the 4th Be With You.”)
Believe it or not, simplicity speaks volumes. Just ask Darth Vader.
Think back to that one Star Wars quote that virtually everyone knows (including us not-so-ardent fans): … (0 comments)

open house: Flip the switch. If you aren't providin, they may go lookin elsewhere. - 04/20/16 05:22 AM
Question 1: When the cat's away, do the mice play?
Question 2: Would a mouse choose to be foolish if they could help it?
Apply this age-old saying to your database.
If you aren't providing hyper-local real estate activity, comparables, and market values to your homeowners, do you think they won't go and find it on their own?
Ask yourself this: Would someone rather sit in a dark room or go find the light switch?
Open Houses are that light switch!
Zillow and other websites (in their mind) is that light switch!
So yes, when the cat's away, the mice (your database) will play.
But in … (2 comments)

open house: Right Place. Right Time. Right Agent. Right (spankin) Now. - 03/25/16 08:16 AM

Right Place. Right Time. Right Agent. Right Now.
By Tawd Frensley
The "Right Place" for your clients is on YOUR website.
- Not Zillow
- Not Redfin
- Not the Internet page provided by your MLS membership.
1) Marketing should be internalized. Your website is the digital version of yourself. It makes sense to get them on your website to see YOU, to connect with YOU, and to get to know YOU.
The "Right Time" can be measured by your ability to reach out to your clients throughout their real estate life cycle.
- Holiday cards are not enough
- Monthly emails are not enough
- Asking for referrals is not enough
2) Marketing is being top-of-mind. The more your … (0 comments)

open house: Listings, Leads & Luck Of The (PropertyMinder) Agent. - 03/07/16 07:36 AM

Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass – it’s learning to dance in the rain (and chasing the proverbial pot-of-gold at the end of the rainbow). Speaking of weather, remember to take advantage of it as a valid reason to reach out and start a meaningful conversation.
This March is your shot to make other agents (figuratively) green with envy, and (literally) make some green of your own in the process - by, well, staying G.R.E.E.N:
Well, predict. Look into saved MLS search data. What do leads/clients need the most? What are they researching? Then, reach out and show your interest by warmly delivering relevant and useful info.

open house: Have, had, has. How to beat the competition the smart way. - 01/15/16 04:07 AM
What is the difference between "have", "had" and "has?"
If you "have" an Open House this weekend..... And you find yourself engaged in a conversation with a neighbor, rest assured they "have" access to a real estate agent.
The obvious answer; the agent that helped them buy their home. However, you can also rest assured that statistically their real estate agent "has" a 11% chance of getting their repeat business.
This is due to habitual lack of follow-up, a weak Internet presence, or the fact that the average real estate agent stays in the business 2 years.
Bottom line, they "had" their chance.
So, give this … (4 comments)

open house: The Monday Following your Open House - 06/23/14 09:29 AM
The Monday Following your Open House
Today is the day you put them in your Client Relationship Manager, put in the notes that you took down and give the client a call.
If they are looking to buy, set them up on a search through your website, not through the MLS (there is no branding and domain name recognition when you do it this way).
If they are a homeowner in the neighborhood, set them up on a Seller's Corner alert so they won't need to go to another Open House and meet another agent.
Monday is the day to forge … (0 comments)

open house: The Nitty Gritty of the Springtime Open House - 03/04/14 08:35 AM
The Nitty Gritty of the Springtime Open House
By Mark BursteinReal Estate Broker / Business Consultant
Spring is sixteen days away. As the country begins to defrost, the real estate market is beginning to heat up. One of the most tried and true methods for lead generation is hosting the open house. Hosting open houses is a great way to get some face time with potential buyers, meet people in the neighborhood, and promote your business. Some agents are able to capitalize on these opportunities and get business, while others struggle and simply cannot figure out a way to make it … (2 comments)
