real estate transaction coordinator: Time Management of the Wealthy - 09/19/15 09:22 PM
Here’s a thought to ponder – if wealthy people and poor people have the same 24 hours in a day, live in the same Country, have similar IQ’s, and health, then what’s so different in their lives?
Possible Answer: How they use their time or better yet, how well they manage it.
Time is something we all have the same of in the day. No one person has more or less of it than anyone else. It’s what we chose to do with those 24 hours that will either provide us with the business and life we want or give us … (1 comments)

real estate transaction coordinator: The Amazing Power of ………. - 06/05/15 06:16 AM
Checklists and systems, not quite as exciting as maybe you’d hoped for, and I know you’re busy but stick with me for a minute.

Checklists and systems are essential in bringing order to a business. Yet, many resist and often work much harder than necessary to get from start to finish. Many mistakes can be dramatically reduced or eliminated by putting together simple checklists and using checklists.

“Really?!” You say. Yes, in our office checklists are essential in making sure that we are managing everything the way our clients want.

And we’re not alone. Consider the following who … (1 comments)

real estate transaction coordinator: How to Move Past FEAR and Succeed - 05/16/15 10:29 PM
As a small business owner, Mom, coach and friend one of the most common statements I hear is “but I don’t know what to do”.
It’s not the technical part that holds us back, there are plenty of part-time virtual geeks to help out with something until they get profitable and can hire someone permanent.
So what is it? What is it that gets in the way of our personal success? In the way of achieving our dreams? It’s an awful little 4 letter word.
Yes, THAT 4 letter word! FEAR, FEAR, FEAR, ok I’ve said it!
Fear is really just a feeling everyone has, … (2 comments)

real estate transaction coordinator: Is Stressing Out Helpful? - 05/09/15 08:10 PM
Sometimes things don’t work out exactly the way we’d like them.
We get stuck in traffic, then late to an appointment.
We misplace something important like keys or our cell phone.
We forget an item important to a recipe during a grocery run or to send an email before we left the office.
These things and many more happen, no one is immune to them. It’s how we handle them that will be remembered.
Recently in our house a wallet was misplaced with a sizeable amount of cash in it. We knew it was here, but where? We had two choices, to freak out, get upset … (2 comments)

real estate transaction coordinator: The Happy Secret to Better Work - 03/20/15 08:07 PM
Several years ago I came across a video on TED by Shawn Achor titled “The Happy Secret to Better Work”. I’m always on the look out for innovative business ideas to share with my team of transaction coordinators and the title intrigued me. After viewing it 4 times, I knew this was something that I had to share with the team.
After the team watched it we all accepted the calling to be, as Shawn put it, “Unaverage”.
“If we study what is merely average, we will remain merely average.” Shawn Achor
In Shawn’s studies of people in the workplace, he … (2 comments)

real estate transaction coordinator: It All Started with a Bucket List - 03/07/15 05:26 PM
I’m the kind of person who always had places and experiences I wanted as well as things I wished to have, but never got around to documenting any of them.
No lists, no vision board just thinking of them from time to time.
Occasionally I’d really long for something when a friend told me of a trip they were taking and I would think “wow, I’d sure like to do that”, looking back I realize that the emphasis there was in a jealous feeling. Realizing they were about to do or go somewhere I really didn’t believe I could ever.

real estate transaction coordinator: Systems = More Free Time and $$ - 01/01/15 12:30 PM
One of my favorite books is The EMyth Revisited by Michael E. Gerber. The book tells the story of why many small businesses fail and offers suggestions on preventing it. Much of it has to do with systems, or lack thereof. Systems are what can help you take your business to the next level. They enable you to consistently deliver top quality service to your clients always, and from each member of your team. Here are a few suggestions on using systems to help you grow your business and regain or retain balance in you life;

Use checklists. NEVER rely … (2 comments)

real estate transaction coordinator: The Mindset of a Successful Realtor - 12/20/14 08:38 AM
Over the years as a Transaction Coordinator I’ve met a lot of talented and successful Realtors. Some where just starting out and excited about the future, others had been in the business for a while and a bigger vision for where they wanted to go. As I learned about what their current real estate business looked like and what they wanted it to look what I discovered that what kept them going was their positive mindset.
Our company, Transaction Management Consultants, started in 2005, we all know what happened to the market a few years after that. Yet our business grew, … (9 comments)
