- 01/10/16 12:52 AM
I just love the New Year – people are fresh full of energy, ambition and hopes of making this year the best one ever. Goals are set, resolutions are made and the fun begins. Here at TMC the phone rings with Realtors looking for a transaction coordinator to help them leverage their time so they can meet their personal sales goals. Whether you’ve made resolutions or new goals, anything you want to be different in your life and business must be written and here’s the important part that I missed for years you have to develop a plan to work on the (0 comments)
transaction coordinator: If You Think You Can Do It All, You’re Thinking Too Small
- 11/06/15 09:38 PM
Yes, I have a transaction coordinating company and yes, I think it’s a good idea to use a transaction coordinator for your real estate business, however that is not the reason I’ve written this blog post so please read on. Over the years I’ve learned that big dreams take lots of time, energy and action steps to make them happen. Sure when I started out like many in business I had unrealistic expectations of what I could accomplish by myself. Naïve perhaps or maybe wishful, I’m not sure, however what I learned, the hard way, after what could only be called a (0 comments)
transaction coordinator: The Mindset of Making Money
- 11/04/15 06:39 PM
Recently I was having lunch with a real estate coach who used our transaction coordinating services prior to changing her business and now exclusively coaching agents. We’re both into mindset, personal and professional growth and frequently spend a lot of the time we have together discussing some of the new ideas and action steps we’ve learned. At this particular lunch the topic was around money and how having a lack mentality is a huge block she sees in the agents she works with. As we further discussed it I told her I’d discovered the same here when people call to get info (3 comments)
transaction coordinator: How Much Money Are You Wasting On Leads?
- 10/29/15 10:24 PM
Leads are a vital part of any business, and real estate is no exception. Having a steady stream of people who are in the market to buy or sell that have reached out either by phone, email or through your website are what all Realtors want. We all know there are a wide variety of ways to generate leads such as SEO, blogging, paid advertising, open houses and door knocking to name a few. Yet over the years I’ve met and worked with so many agents who don’t have the time to follow-up on all the leads that come in. Sure they (2 comments)
transaction coordinator: Are we REALLY Showing Up?
- 10/11/15 11:01 PM
With the advent of smartphones and social media apps, it’s easier and easier for us share our lives with others and the adventures we are on. Almost no matter where we are in the world you can take a photo, upload it and make a comment on it.
Sure, online it looks like we’re doing fun things, enjoying cool places with great people, yet are we REALLY showing up? Are the people you are with actually enjoying the time they are spending with you, or are you just a warm body in the room or at the table with them? (2 comments)
transaction coordinator: It Doesn’t Have To Be That Way
- 10/10/15 01:48 AM
It has been said that we can always find the time for what is important to us. Yet with a busy real estate business this can often be challenging. So many agents I’ve met over the years are struggling to find the time for things other than work, or to find the time to do more of the things they actually enjoy in the work they are doing.
I was chatting with a caller a few months ago who was looking for a transaction coordinator, as we discussed the challenges she was facing in her business and how she was looking for (15 comments)
transaction coordinator: It doesn’t matter where you are…….
- 09/19/15 10:56 PM
Recently I took a call from a “newer” Realtor who overheard several calls from her colleague telling someone that his transaction coordinator would be in touch soon or his transaction coordinator will get that to you. Since this agent was also fairly new to the business and there were no signs of someone working in the small cubical office space they shared with him she asked him about this mysterious person he called his transaction coordinator. He laughed and said “I can see how you may have thought I was making things up, after all it’s clear that no one but (2 comments)

transaction coordinator: Time Management of the Wealthy
- 09/19/15 09:22 PM
Here’s a thought to ponder – if wealthy people and poor people have the same 24 hours in a day, live in the same Country, have similar IQ’s, and health, then what’s so different in their lives? Possible Answer: How they use their time or better yet, how well they manage it. Time is something we all have the same of in the day. No one person has more or less of it than anyone else. It’s what we chose to do with those 24 hours that will either provide us with the business and life we want or give us (1 comments)
Checklists and systems are essential in bringing order to a business. Yet, many resist and often work much harder than necessary to get from start to finish. Many mistakes can be dramatically reduced or eliminated by putting together simple checklists and using checklists.
“Really?!” You say. Yes, in our office checklists are essential in making sure that we are managing everything the way our clients want.
And we’re not alone. Consider the following who (1 comments)
transaction coordinator: How to Move Past FEAR and Succeed
- 05/16/15 10:29 PM
As a small business owner, Mom, coach and friend one of the most common statements I hear is “but I don’t know what to do”. It’s not the technical part that holds us back, there are plenty of part-time virtual geeks to help out with something until they get profitable and can hire someone permanent. So what is it? What is it that gets in the way of our personal success? In the way of achieving our dreams? It’s an awful little 4 letter word. Yes, THAT 4 letter word! FEAR, FEAR, FEAR, ok I’ve said it! Fear is really just a feeling everyone has, (2 comments)
transaction coordinator: Is Stressing Out Helpful?
- 05/09/15 08:10 PM
Sometimes things don’t work out exactly the way we’d like them. We get stuck in traffic, then late to an appointment. We misplace something important like keys or our cell phone. We forget an item important to a recipe during a grocery run or to send an email before we left the office. These things and many more happen, no one is immune to them. It’s how we handle them that will be remembered. Recently in our house a wallet was misplaced with a sizeable amount of cash in it. We knew it was here, but where? We had two choices, to freak out, get upset (2 comments)
transaction coordinator: The Happy Secret to Better Work
- 03/20/15 08:07 PM
Several years ago I came across a video on TED by Shawn Achor titled “The Happy Secret to Better Work”. I’m always on the look out for innovative business ideas to share with my team of transaction coordinators and the title intrigued me. After viewing it 4 times, I knew this was something that I had to share with the team. After the team watched it we all accepted the calling to be, as Shawn put it, “Unaverage”. “If we study what is merely average, we will remain merely average.” Shawn Achor In Shawn’s studies of people in the workplace, he (2 comments)
transaction coordinator: It All Started with a Bucket List
- 03/07/15 05:26 PM
I’m the kind of person who always had places and experiences I wanted as well as things I wished to have, but never got around to documenting any of them. No lists, no vision board just thinking of them from time to time. Occasionally I’d really long for something when a friend told me of a trip they were taking and I would think “wow, I’d sure like to do that”, looking back I realize that the emphasis there was in a jealous feeling. Realizing they were about to do or go somewhere I really didn’t believe I could ever. Little (0 comments)
transaction coordinator: Systems = More Free Time and $$
- 01/01/15 12:30 PM
One of my favorite books is The EMyth Revisited by Michael E. Gerber. The book tells the story of why many small businesses fail and offers suggestions on preventing it. Much of it has to do with systems, or lack thereof. Systems are what can help you take your business to the next level. They enable you to consistently deliver top quality service to your clients always, and from each member of your team. Here are a few suggestions on using systems to help you grow your business and regain or retain balance in you life;

transaction coordinator: The Mindset of a Successful Realtor
- 12/20/14 08:38 AM
Over the years as a Transaction Coordinator I’ve met a lot of talented and successful Realtors. Some where just starting out and excited about the future, others had been in the business for a while and a bigger vision for where they wanted to go. As I learned about what their current real estate business looked like and what they wanted it to look what I discovered that what kept them going was their positive mindset. Our company, Transaction Management Consultants, started in 2005, we all know what happened to the market a few years after that. Yet our business grew, (9 comments)
