bagua map: How to Prepare for Autumn with Traditional Chinese Medicine & Feng Shui - 09/30/17 04:57 AM
Looking at the modern day Ba-gua Map you’ll recognize the four seasons that correspond with the directions; North (winter), West (autumn), East (spring) and South (summer).

We have entered into the season of autumn which is about harvesting what we planted in the spring (literally and intentionally). The air is cooler and drier; and there seems to be more clarity of vision, both externally and spiritually.

During autumn; creativity, refinement, minimalism, and our connection to nature are highlighted. The emotion associated with Metal is sadness and this is not a bad thing. We are simply saying goodbye to the warm carefree days of … (6 comments)

bagua map: Feng Shui Bagua Map Basics for Your Home - 06/21/17 07:29 AM
The Feng Shui Bagua map (also called ba-gua or pakua) is one of the main tools utilized in Feng Shui to analyze the energy of any given space. For this particular post, I am focusing on the BTB [Black Hat] bagua map of Feng Shui.
Translated from Chinese, bagua literally means "8 areas.” You could perceive the bagua map as an energy map or life station map, that is superimposed over an entire floor plan, single room or yard to show where the eight corresponding energy meridians are located.

What are the eight Ba-gua Map life sections?

The Ba-gua map is one of many tools utilized to help identify strengths and weaknesses within those given spaces. It also provides the opportunity to illuminate insights into the conscious and sub-conscious minds of those occupants as the home and work environments become metaphors of one's life.

The Ba-gua map is a grid of nine life section which can be laid upon an entire floor plan or single room. By doing … (4 comments)

Synchronicity Connections to Helpful People

Looking deeper into the meaning of 'Helpful People,' it focuses on connecting you with those who will help you transform your present state of being into alignment with your life's purpose.
The I Ching Trigram Ch'ien connected to the Ba-gua map, means 'Heaven.' This energy enhances your clarity, opportunities for synchronicity to unfold, nurtured by the right actions you take.
We even tap into the discussion of help from beyond the realm of our physical being. Some may refer to these helpers as Earth Angels.

What does Fame on the Feng Shui Ba-gua Map Mean?

Fame is another word for reputation through feng shui eyes. You have various options on how to implement addressing fame in your home. You could use accent colors of red-such as what you see in a sunset or sunrise, the element of fire such as with candles or take into consideration the subject matter of artwork that captures your personal reputation in who you are aspiring to evolve into.

What's the Proper Location for a Bamboo Plant According to Feng Shui?

"Hi Laura~ We just celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary and renewed our vows. We received bamboo from one of our guests. I don't know much about caring for it or about it's meaning. I believe there is a proper feng shui place for it in the home, etc. Can you shed any light on that? Maybe write a post about it, or maybe you already have. Thanks, Donna"

bagua map: According to Feng Shui-Does it Matter if I Use All Room in My Home? - 05/30/14 11:05 PM
According to Feng Shui-Does it Matter if I Use All Room in My Home?
If you do not use every single room in your home Feng Shui does see that over time as stagnant energy potentially building up.  Depending on where that room is located on your layout with the Ba-gua map placed on top will give further insight into the life area that maybe lacking breathable energy.
If that given room in your home is not being used, do your best not to completely forget about it.  Take the time to show it some TLC, keep it organized, let go of items that are … (1 comments)

bagua map: Interesting Connections with Native American and Feng Shui practices - 03/30/14 10:26 PM
Interesting Connections with Native American and Feng Shui practices

one of the key principles in Feng Shui is that when you incorporate this practice into your life style, the truth will always come to the surface...for that is one of the strongest (yet at times hardest) ways to be on path to achieving enlightenment.
For me, I find it interesting that the Native Americans use the turtle as the symbol of truth and in Feng Shui the turtle shell was the Sacred Geometry design for the modern day Ba-gua map.
