Today was a wonderful visit down Feng Shui memory lane. A women's group inquired about experiencing a guided walking tour of the first Feng Shui-designed and LEED Certified hotel on Long Island, called The Viana Hotel and Spa. All aboard!! Jamaica Station has a direct connection to Grand Central Madison which is a new terminal that is directly below the Grand Central Terminal.
The escalator in Grand Central Madison is the longest in New York City! - at 182 feet, with a one-way trip on the escalator taking about 90 seconds. It's recommended if you have a scheduled meeting, it best to leave some extra time to navigate your way out of the Grand Central Madison terminal.

One of the perks when providing Feng Shui consultations throughout New York City, is I get to visit locations I may not otherwise go to on my own. After completing a Feng Shui consultation I made it a point to check out various locations that included the New York Public Library in Bryant Park (which was helpful because I needed to renew my library card) and the Helmsley Building.

If you are not a meat eater (look away), and if you are, please enjoy! I've had various BBQs in my days, including in Texas. However! I have to say, by far Stuey's Smokehouse BBQ has won my taste buds!

Allowing for some 'me time', I visited Storm King Mountain for a day of hiking. For those of you who are based out of Queens, NY, or NYC, the trip up to Strom King Mountain is about a one-hour drive (not too bad!). This trailhead is located off of Mountain Ave.
I dub this part of the hike (following the blue/yellow trail), the wisdom tree :) It reminds me of a hike I used to commonly trek when living in California.
For those who will enjoy some rock scrambling, you'll find a bit of that while hiking the Strom King Mountain Trail.
