This is my first time walking to the Fire Island Lighthouse from the Robert Moses State park, field 5 parking lot. A quick side note: after entering the parking lot, turn left and drive all the way down until you can't go any further.
You'll see a pathway that is clearly marked, which leads to the Fire Island Lighthouse and Fire Island it self. Do be sure to bring food and water with you because there is no other place to nourish yourself for another 3.5 miles if you keep hiking beyond the lighthouse. Over the weekend, while in Livermore, CA, my family and I stopped in at the Vine Cinema and Ale House to see the movie, "Pope Francis - a Man of His Word," which by the way was amazing! After the movie let out, we came upon a good number of people dressed in Golden State Warriors gear. As we turned back around to look at the bulletin board, it became obvious, the theater transformed into a sporting arena. Pretty cool! And what was even cooler?! After providing a Feng Shui Consultation near the Monterey, CA, my fiance and I took a day trip to explore the Monterey Bay Aquarium. It was pretty cool!! Some of the top highlights: jellies, wave crush tunnel, sea otters, pacific octopus, tentacles, and kelp forest. Also, just walking along the outside of the aquarium provides some pretty beautiful sights.
The only reason I took the photos you see was to post them on the blog. After that, the phone was put away and I STRONGLY recommend you do the same. The benefits you'll receive from just being present with this experience is wonderful.
