The Mission Inn located in Riverside, CA puts on a display of 500 MILLION lights and 200 ANIMATED characters to ring in the holidays in Southern California. It's quite the site when you approach it and pretty exciting when you see the "Switch-On" ceremony, completed with fireworks.

When I'm not providing Feng Shui consultations, my other love in life is creating artwork. This is a piece I started in Los Angeles, California and recently completed it in New York. My inspiration pulls from sacred geometry, Taoism, and the powerful symbolic nature of a hummingbird. I can't tell you much else as that was the starting point and the rest took on an intuitive creative and healing process. I also included up close images of the graphite/fire painting because the photo really does not allow you to see the delicate lines and soft translucent overlays. Before heading to a morning Feng Shui consultation, I walked along a local park and obserbed "The Great Wall of Los Angeles." This is a half-mile long mural that tells the story of California from prehistory to the 1950's. This is considered one of the LONGEST murals in the world! It contains chronologically ordered accounts, beginning with dinosaur's on one end and the Baby Boom on the other. The mural was designed by Judith Baca, founder of the Social and Public Art Resource Center (SPARC).

The term supermoon was coined by astrologer, Richard Nolle in 1979. The official scientific term is called "perigee syzygy of the earth-moon-sun system."
