The other week I had the pleasure of facilitating an intergenerationl drum circle in support of a community health program sponsored by the Jewish Parker Institute at the Lakeview Public Library in New York. We had 7 children and 12 adults creating rhythmic music together!
Drumming is a fantastic way to improve social connections, provide an outlet for self expression, encourage deep listening, being present and having fun! There are so many benefits! Over the past two days, I have been in Florida, specifically between Delray Beach and West Palm Beach, to initiate a Feng Shui analysis. The site has an intriguing history as a family owned and operated hotel (est. in 1925) that is currently functioning as a hostel. During the analysis, we observed which part of the current building's facade would be preserved and integrated into the newly designed hotel. Inventory of the hotel’s 1925 original furnishings was also taken into consideration, which will be incorporated into the new hotel once it is constructed. In the practice of Feng Shui and Geopathic Stress Dowsing, there are overlapping topics of interest. In Bon Tantric Buddhism Feng Shui, we investigate ‘Predecessor History’ and in Geopathic Stress Dowsing, we refer to that as ‘Place Memory’. I love this aspect of the profession because it allows you to become intimately connected with the history of a location, while at the same time understanding where specific energy frequencies could benefit from healing and realignments, while still acknowledging and honoring the rich history of that given space.
