One of my 2019 new year's intentions is to attend more concerts and last night on December 30th, 2018 at Barbès in Brooklyn NY, momentum to that one intention has already taken place. Usually when in Brooklyn, I'm on business conducting Feng Shui Consultations, so it was great to be leisurely and enjoy the richness of the art community.
So, what makes Barbès so special? Its a bar and performance space for local and international musicians. And wow!! Are you in for treat with who preforms there! This hidden gem provides a very intimate platform for top performers to serenade the audience.

As a treat after wrapping up a week of Feng Shui consualtions in New York City, my husband Aldo and I, visited the Walt Whitman Birthplace Historic Site. I have to say, we were both pleasantly surprised and enjoyed every moment. The tour of the center and the house his father built was very informative. To date, the Walt Whitman Birthplace Home is 200 years old!! Amazing!!

“Fu” in Chinese means wealth, good fortune, and prosperity. Fu Dogs are known as Guardian Lions which have been used in China since the Han Dynasty (206 BC – 220 AD). Another name is Chi lins which describes a mythical creature that features aspects of a dragon-horse or Chinese unicorn. The concept became popular in Chinese Buddhism, subsequently spreading to other parts of Asia including, Japan, Korea, Tibet, Thailand, Burma, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Cambodia, Laos and Singapore.

In the past two weeks I have had the honor of exploring the two majestic islands of New Zealand. For this particular post I'm highlighting the Kepler track (one of the great walks). The Kepler Track is located in Fiorland National Park along the far west region of the South Island.
The Kepler track is a 60 km loop that takes you through lush forests, lakes and through the Alpines.
