feng shui new york city: The Law of Attraction and Energy Healing in Feng Shui by Feng Shui Long Island & New York City - 06/23/08 01:12 PM
Feng Shui and The Law of Attraction
Many of us are so much more in tune with Energy then ever before.  No doubt that "The Secret" made a huge difference in many of our lives already and continue to do so.  Suddenly, we "got it."  There IS a ‘Law of Attraction' and many of the things we thought we had no control over, we actually DO.  What an uplifting and positive message and huge impact it made for many of us.
I got my "moments" of understanding while working at a Wholistic Center years ago.  Downtrodden people who were ill....and sent … (29 comments)

feng shui new york city: New York Feng Shui Consultations....Long Distance Feng Shui by Feng Shui Long Island & New York City - 06/22/08 01:02 PM
In Feng Shui, we evaluate a home or a business from many different aspects.  We want to see if it will support a client, if there are any particular issues with the home that might interfere with important principles of Feng Shui, if our clients will grow and thrive in a particular place.
Although I live in New York, I often do long distance Feng Shui Consultations.  Many consultants offer them but I am particular in how I address them.  I don't just want a floor plan which will give me very limited information, I want it ALL.  I need to FEEL … (19 comments)

feng shui new york city: Walking in to GET a Job...and Coming Home with TWO: Feng Shui Consultations in New York City (Manhattan) - 06/19/08 03:35 PM
As many of you know, my daughter Laura Cerrano has been a Feng Shui Consultant in New Paltz for the last several years.  After studying and going to client's homes, businesses, apartments and offices as well as studying with experts in the field of Feng Shui, she has been doing Feng Shui Consultations in New York City and Long Island.

I am thrilled and so is she.  She needed confidence to step out and do it on her own and she's finally gotten it.  But she has other interests and loves as well.  She recently became a Certified Personal Trainer … (27 comments)

feng shui new york city: "HELPFUL PEOPLE" in Feng Shui: We ALL Need Them....by Feng Shui Long Island & Manhattan - 06/17/08 02:20 PM
As a New York Feng Shui Consultant who utilizes the Bagua Method along with Western and ‘Black Sect' methods to have all Feng Shui principles in order, I have seen one area of the Bagua that is often neglected.  To me AND to the clients I advise, this is often the most important area (next to health)-it is called simply "HELPFUL PEOPLE."
I often wonder where we would be in life without them.  They can be strangers who just seem to "show up" in your life when you need them the most or they can be old or new friends that … (16 comments)

feng shui new york city: Are You Blocking Your own CHI? Shame on you....by Feng Shui Long Island & Manhattan - 06/16/08 03:32 PM
As a Feng Shui Consultant on Long Island and New York City, there are many things we have to work around.  And some things we need to tell clients we just hope they will believe us and make the changes, although they may be a little more difficult then the usual ones we can choose.
A huge principle of Feng Shui is "To Let the Outdoors IN."  We need to allow the New Energy to enter and create a balance of the Yin/Yang forces.  The first thing I myself do every morning is to open up my blinds and curtains.  I want the … (48 comments)

feng shui new york city: A New York Consultant's Choice for Reconnecting with Nature by Feng Shui Long Island & New York City - 06/15/08 06:23 AM
Where does a New York Feng Shui Consultant go to reconnect with Nature?  Since I am often in New York City, I must say I love Central Park.  The energies of the Park change constantly from place to place; some parts have music blaring and lots of activity to the quieter parts of the park where people are just enjoying all the beautiful scenery.
When I am on Long Island, one of my favorite places is The Planting Fields Arboretum in Oyster Bay, New York.  It is a quieter energy here, the scenery and historic buildings are beautiful and you find … (21 comments)

feng shui new york city: A Manhattan Feng Shui Consultant's Reflections of 9/11, Pt. 1 by Feng Shui Long Island & New York City - 06/06/08 02:31 PM
For the most part, I don't go to the site of Ground Zero in New York City.  And hesitated showing these pictures to upset anyone.  As a Feng Shui Consultant in New York, I love to show all the beauty of New York City and I do in many of my posts.  This is only the second time I have been to this site because the energy, for me, is too strong.  There is a sadness that permeates the very air-and I have to go somewhere after to allow it to dissipate.

This was the site where the Twin Towers … (20 comments)

I love Feng Shui everywhere.  From the huge Corporations to the smallest spaces, they are always fun for me (and hopefully to my lovely clients).  This was a Feng Shui Consultation in Manhattan and an absolute delight.  My client had already hired me for her other small space in a beautiful area of New York City I hadn't seen before....You may have read the posts:  Feng Shui New York City Studio: Working in VERY Small Spaces by Feng Shui Long Island  and  Feng Shui in New York City @ Historic Tudor City by Feng Shui Long Island

feng shui new york city: A New York Feng Shui Consultant's Thoughts...by Feng Shui Long Island & New York City - 06/01/08 12:00 PM
It is that time of year again here in New York, both on Long Island and in New York City.  The time of year when graduations take place.  This year many new Feng Shui Consultants will be graduating and starting a new career....which sent my memory way, WAY back.
Feng Shui is so popular in New York it's not surprising that so many people are taking the classes.  Just like Real Estate Agents, Home Stagers or anyone else involved in one way or another with Real Estate, most new graduates, if not all, are making a HUGE commitment...to their clients and themselves. … (21 comments)

feng shui new york city: A New York Feng Shui Consultant in Beautiful Oyster Bay by Feng Shui Long Island & Manhattan - 05/21/08 02:53 PM
A little Feng Shui in gorgeous Oyster Bay.
New York has it's share of beautiful places and there is nothing quite like the "Gold Coast" of Long Island in New York. The estates there are stunning as is the land.  Many sit right on the water and the views are spectacular.  Acres of the beautiful land have been preserved as The Planting Fields Arboretum and it's a spectacular place to visit, wander the grounds and for a Feng Shui Consultant, to reconnect with nature and some of the most spectacular flowers that bloom all Spring and Summer.
That was my idea … (23 comments)

feng shui new york city: What are YOU Missing? Or do you Have it ALL? by Feng Shui Long Island & New York - 05/19/08 02:31 PM
 What I Don't Have:
The nicest house on the block.

A new, fancy car.
Lots of money.
A really well kept lawn.
Trendy, designer clothes.
Any fancy new gadgets that most people can't do without.

What I DO Have:
Two terrific "kids" that manage to be around for me.

My precious Mother who always encourages and supports me.
Some unbelievable friends that I couldn't live without.
A job that I absolutely LOVE.
A House.
A Car.
Enough to eat
Enough to pay my bills.
Lots of JOY.
It's easy to stay focused on things we are lacking … (32 comments)

feng shui new york city: Feng Shui "Luck" -- The Three "Lucks" of Feng Shui by Feng Shui Long Island & New York - 05/16/08 01:46 PM
Feng Shui "LUCK" - A New York Feng Shui Consultant's View
Demystifying Feng Shui is never an easy task...particularly since many practitioners perceive thing differently.  It is what makes each Consultant unique---and it is important that you find the one that you are most "in tune" with.
There are Three "Lucks" in Feng Shui:
Heaven Luck

Heaven Luck are the Stars we were born under...it is Astrology, whether you practice or use Western or Chinese methods.  We don't have control over this "Luck" portion, it is pre-destined for us.  Some people are very fortuitous in having been born at a … (24 comments)

feng shui new york city: Another Activerain SUCCESS Story by Feng Shui Long Island & New York City - 05/15/08 02:43 PM
Yet ANOTHER Activerain SUCCESS Story
I have had more then a few clients find my posts on a Google search when looking for a Feng Shui Consultant in New York and this one was no exception.  Some clients will oftentimes come across one post that strikes them-and they will call you.  From the things you write and the pictures you show they believe you are the person they are looking for.
I know there is some controversy about posting the "before" shots of a home when staging....or when implements Feng Shui and doing a Redesign or "Makeover" and it's a point … (14 comments)

feng shui new york city: Real Estate and Feng Shui: What You should know if you're a Realtor by Feng Shui Long Island & New York - 05/11/08 05:31 PM
A Message to All My Realtor Friends on Activerain
The year I was in school for Feng Shui Studies was 1996.  I don't know if any of us in that first graduating class knew what would come of Feng Shui, if anything.  At that time very, VERY few people had even heard about it.  Often, if they had, it was very misunderstood.  We ourselves didn't know if it would be a passing "fad" or something that people would come to know and believe in.
I don't believe ANY of us then EVER realized that Feng Shui would become so popular and … (17 comments)

feng shui new york city: Stepping Out---Once Again.... by Feng Shui Long Island New York - 05/08/08 02:48 PM
I sometimes believe that we all "trip" through life....with some fascinating successes and some really difficult falls---sometimes flat on our face.  When I fall (both literally and figuratively) I sometimes stay there for a moment, take a deep breath and pick myself back up again.  What choices do we really have?  And how long can we stay down there?

For some people it takes longer to bounce back up.  They need time and space to recover, think things through, learn a lesson and begin to heal from the experience.  But eventually they too will get themselves up again and get … (30 comments)

feng shui new york city: A BILLION Dollar Home--And it's based on New York Feng Shui! by Feng Shui Long Island New York - 05/01/08 12:07 PM
Feng Shui in New York.....Apparently The Mandarin Hotel hit a home run with Nita Ambani as well.
I thought this was interesting enough to pass along.  Especially since the economy is not at it's best at the moment.  Custom homes are one thing, but THIS is the world's first BILLION dollar home---and it's built on the principles of Vastu.
The lobby of The Mardarin Hotel in New York City (Manhattan).
Vastu and Feng Shui have been intermingled for years as many of the properties and the ideas behind it (such as The Elements and The Energy) remain the same.  Vastu is at least as … (23 comments)

feng shui new york city: New York & Feng Shui: Blending the Two Together by Feng Shui Long Island, New York - 04/29/08 04:07 PM
New York & Feng Shui:  Blending the Two Together
I always wonder if you took a random group of New Yorkers' and asked how many believed in Feng Shui what the percentage would be.  I would love to do one of those polls where you just choose random people and get their thoughts and ideas of New York Feng Shui.
As a Feng Shui Consultant for New York City you know you'll find me there often with my daughter who had been training for five years and I am now convinced knows as much as I do.  She is terrific at a consultation … (16 comments)

feng shui new york city: New York Photos & Feng Shui: A Bird's Eye View.....by Feng Shui Long Island, New York - 04/24/08 02:40 PM
Not long ago on one of these beautiful days a client was gracious enough to walk back to Penn Station with me after a New York Feng Shui Consultation.  She asked why I would travel to New York City to do my Feng Shui Consultations when I live on Long Island.  I explained how much I love the City and that I felt the Energy was very different in NYC than on Long Island.  It can also be more challenging to do all the New York Apartments, Condos, Co-ops, Studios and Businesses because they came in so many sizes and shapes.  … (28 comments)

feng shui new york city: It's Time to put Your Feng Shui INTENTIONS Into Everything You Do!...by Feng Shui Long Island & New York - 04/22/08 03:38 PM
We ALL know we have been Spring Cleaning....it was such a long winter for so many of us; fact is we couldn't WAIT to start shedding the old.  In Feng Shui we always let go of the old to allow the NEW and positive Energy IN.....and that's exactly what we all need right now, a Good dose of FENG SHUI.
One of the things I believe that is misunderstood most in Feng Shui is that it's not necessarily the big changes you are making that will make a difference to your lives and the quality of them.  It is often the small, … (17 comments)

feng shui new york city: Spring Views and Positive Inspiration: Transformations! by Feng Shui Long Island New York City - 04/15/08 02:43 PM
Spring was so late in coming this year; or perhaps it just felt that way.  It's pretty much remained colder then normal and rainy in the Northeast, making the days, although longer, feeling just as gloomy as they were.  I'm sure my impatience for warmer weather and sunshine didn't help.
I got up early the other morning and typically do some work on the computer first-and heard, for the first time, SONG.  A beautiful bird obviously close to the house decided to let loose and sing his heart out....no doubt he was feeling well, too.  And I remembered that Spring is not … (25 comments)
