feng shui new york: Traveling With Feng Shui - 03/16/16 03:25 AM

When we travel and stay at a hotel or a friend's home, we need to be mindful of the energy that is constantly in flux. This meaning, we are giving energy and receiving it, knowing and unknowingly.
This could also be referred to as "predecessor energy," meaning energy left behind from those who previously occupied that space physically and spiritually. When you travel, its suggested to either wear a protective emblem of your choosing and/or bring along a small traveling altar that could be placed inside the room of where you stay.
I did this when traveling throughout North Carolina, as I stayed for a week providing Feng Shui workshops. That is a lot … (4 comments)

feng shui new york: Feng Shui Tip: Find The Silver Lining - 03/16/16 01:41 AM

Every cloud has one. It’s our job to be open and receptive when it comes and many times that is not an easy task. That silver lining is our window of opportunity to transform a challenging situation around and if we miss it, we have missed a chance to change and grow. Another opportunity will come, yet why wait?
The most common of stories is with love. When a relationship ends it hurts because we have developed an energy cord of attachment to that person, along with an abundance of memories . As you let go (and that term can be defined … (2 comments)

feng shui new york: Your Feng Shui Is Not "Authentic" Enough - 03/14/16 06:43 AM
To be Authentic, is to be true.
"Live your teachings" ~ Dr. Maya Angelo

I see the benefits connected to all the Feng Shui methods, let that be "Authentic" "Modern," "New Age," "Western" and more will evolve.  The definition and function of Feng Shui changes to meet the needs of humanity, this being indicated by his High Holiness Grand Master Professor Lin Yun.

Every method has been created with the intention of helping and healing. Each person in need of these services are unique with their own situations and has a level of understanding that could be built upon.
As we know, Feng Shui is an art and science. I present this possible thought. Think about how … (6 comments)

All her suggestions are easy to implement whether you are new to these teachers or advanced. This was my first time learning about feng shui. Laura suggested for me to add a certain color in my kitchen for enhancing the energy flow and in other rooms, small object that would inspire me on deeper levels of awareness. Once I made those simple changes, I feel a shift in energy. … (7 comments)

feng shui new york: What Is The Best Way To Understand Feng Shui? - 01/30/16 08:49 AM
It's great to read about, attend workshops and watch videos on feng shui, yet the best way to understand it, is by first hand experience. Committing to the "prescribed" program and doing the suggested changes (testing them out) is essentially training you to see new perspectives and develop problem solving skills. By doing this, you increase your self confidence, independence, creativity and overall embrace a healthier life style supported through your environment.

feng shui new york: How Long Does It Take For Changes To Happen After A Feng Shui Consultation? - 01/12/16 11:05 PM
For each person the answer to this question will vary. I have seen changes take about a year, a month or maybe a bit longer, a week, days, hours, minutes and even seconds.

Yesterday, I had the honor of catching up with my two clients over lunch as they wished to share an update since consulting with them. So you understand the foundation of this quick story, my client's goal was to gain momentum in support with obtaining their citizenship before 2016 arrived. If they did not, they would have to return back to India. Keep in mind, this has been 3-year ordeal for … (9 comments)

feng shui new york: Mercury Retrograde is Here From January 5th - 25th, 2016 - 01/11/16 08:49 AM
Oooo no! It's that dreaded Mercury Retrograde again! Please keep in mind, this is nothing to fear. If anything, it provides us with the opportunity to reflect and release objects, habits and connections to those that no longer serve our highest good.

Typically, electronics and mis-communication with others are high on the list of "symptoms." The best advice to share, be clear as possible when speaking with others (take your time and have patience). Be mindful of your own thoughts and do your best to keep them POSITIVE. We are in the first month of the new year, which means there is a faster manifestation process. Have a sense of humor … (4 comments)

It's important to remember when you are moving into a new home, it's natural that the energy and physical environment will most likely feel unfamiliar. And this could also be true for a home you have always lived in.
When you meet a new person, chances are you need to allow each other time become acquainted. For your home, this means to cultivate a comfortable utilization of your home's layout, flow and energy vibration. You are building a new or stronger relationship and anchoring in roots of support.

feng shui new york: Creative and Simple Way To Enhance Your Helpful People Gua In Feng Shui - 11/17/15 06:32 AM

I learned this from fellow Feng Shui consultant when teaching a class last week.  I found this to be very intriguing, easy and fun. I am in the process of testing it out myself and I hear it has some pretty great results.
So here we go:
1. Get a small to medium sized piece of tin foil and fold it into the shape of an envelope. Or you could find a envelope that has metallic texture inside it.
Why metallic or the use of tin foil? The element to enhance Helpful people is metal. So anything that offers the look or actual feel of metal can work.
2. Think … (4 comments)

feng shui new york: Take Your Time Making Feng Shui Changes To Your Home and Lifestyle - 09/22/15 03:47 AM
When it comes time to implementing Feng Shui suggestions into your home, office, and lifestyle, I tell my clients, do not engage in too many changes at once. By doing that, it may result in you feeling completely overwhelmed, thus creating an emotional charge of being stuck.
Instead, pick ONE area of your home at a time and select a smaller section within that given area. And make at least one change.
This could be taking away furniture (if it offers no function or use anymore), adding or replacing artwork, or removing clutter; these are all great changes! Remember, one step at a time.
Depending on my clients emotional, … (2 comments)

feng shui new york: Walking The Streets of New York City...Part 2 - 09/20/15 10:43 AM

Here are more photos of lower Manhattan I was unable to post earlier this week. NYC never seizes to amaze me with it's urban beauty and people who add energy to the thriving streets. If you slow down and take a moment to really look, you will find amazing artwork and interesting scenery all around.
For those who are planning to visit the Sea Port in NYC, keep in mind the location is under a renovation for about two years. You can still check out the old ships and some shops and restaurants, but the majority of it has been closed off to the public.
You can see the amazing combination of … (8 comments)
