I always enjoy giving myself a tour of New York City after completing a feng shui consultation. This city never ceases to amaze me! The image above is of a building passed by on my way to an east side consultation. The building caught my attention for a few reasons. One, it's unique architecture. Two, the backdrop of more modern buildings and three, the name of the building (Art is Work). I would live there ;)

This year has been by far the most packed I have ever seen and experienced when attending the Sangenario Feast. It felt like new years all over again. With so many food venues to choose from, drinks and various games to play, lower Manhattan felt like a huge party on the streets of Little Italy.

During and after the first few days of Hurricane Sandy we had to use candles in order to do everything at night. Interesting fact, fire in general can be a very meditative element. It's so simple and easy to do, wake up with a smile and start your day off on the right foot. Studies show those who start the day off with a positive attitude can deflect negative situations much easier. Monday's are seen as the "Debi downer" days of the week because it's back to work. Try and not perceive Monday in that way, view Monday as the start to another week of opportunities, connecting with co-worker friends and so on.
