feng shui tips: Let's Talk a Little More about Honesty---A Feng Shui Reflection on Long Island
- 10/05/07 02:27 PM
I love it when you are able to be completely honest and open with someone; I am not one for "brushing things under the rug." There have been occasions where people have inadvertently hurt me or caused distress and in the past, I have let them know, lovingly, that while I'm sure they didn't mean to do it and it was completely unintentional, that this particular action DID hurt. It's in their reaction(s) to being completely honest that I have often run across the following: Instant denial. They don't take a moment to think about what you might be saying no matter (16 comments)
feng shui tips: Reviewing Your Day---And Sleeping WELL at Night: A Simple Post
- 09/19/07 01:07 PM
I like to sleep at night; and I like to sleep WELL. Without doubts and "What ifs" and all KINDS of questions floating around in my head. For me, it's pretty simple. Every night before I go to sleep I review my day and I ask myself just ONE QUESTION: Did I do the Best I could do today? Whether relating to business with a client, a personal relationship and just dealing with the public in general on ANY level, I want to know I did my best. It's really all we can do. My daughter called me tonight upset this time; it (27 comments)
feng shui tips: Let Go and LET IT BE....
- 09/16/07 02:43 AM
The Law of Attraction, The Vision Board, Our Intentions---they all are very powerful and they certainly do work. What we put our focus on, we create. There is also a paradox to this: oftentimes what WE want is not what the "Universe" (fill in your own special word here) has other plans for us. It is entirely possible that what you think you want so very much just isn't the best thing for you, not at this time. Many people get frustrated, say it doesn't "work" and stop any Energy Intent at all. They lose their focus and oftentimes get depressed. I've (25 comments)
feng shui tips: "CLUTTERBUGS" -- A Feng Shui Perspective on HOW to Lighten Up and WHY...
- 09/08/07 03:38 PM
While I have touched on the subject of CLUTTER in many of my posts, this one is devoted strictly to the subject. In reading so much about it the last few days and especially Jo-Anne Smith's heartfelt post: Mr. Tumnus and His Cave. I want to address some specific issues that many clients have. By the definition Feng Shui Consultants typically use, CLUTTER is something you DON'T NEED, USE OR LOVE. Jo loves everythingand I can see why! Why is clutter the number one principle in Feng Shui? After all, being surrounded by precious things gives us comfort. But when we already (21 comments)
feng shui tips: Tomorrow is Another Day.....Feng Shui in Oyster Bay
- 08/29/07 04:31 PM
This house belongs to some of the best clients I have EVER consulted for---and that's saying a lot! They live in the beautiful town of Oyster Bay on Long Island, New Yorkand were in need of repairs, Feng Shui and Organizing. You couldn't ask to meet more wonderful, warmhearted people and despite their state of disrepair in their home, they never stop and complain or let it get them down. That's pretty hard to do when you're living in a state like this, but that's the way they are. They truly LIVE The Secret every day and know things will get better. (17 comments)
feng shui tips: A Promise That Should NEVER have been made......
- 08/27/07 02:41 PM
Long ago during my Feng Shui Classes and through all the years after, I have NEVER promised a client we can create exactly what they want to come about from a Feng Shui Consultation. We CAN promise to change the Energy but nothing more. Clients without a thorough understanding of what Feng Shui entails should investigate more prior to booking a consultation and I always recommend they look for someone who is Certified (many people aren't aware anyone can read a book on Feng Shui and call themselves a Feng Shui Consultant). I have also seen lately that people "stretch" the (11 comments)
feng shui tips: A Very REAL Feng Shui Challange in Syosset, Long Island, New York
- 07/22/07 07:18 PM
I am showing some pictures on this post that some of you have probably run into at one time or another. Please note: I am NOT showing them to have any disparaging comments made about these clients, but rather just to let you realize that oftentimes people don't realize what they are living with. They have become so used to clutter and as it builds, they don't even realize it. Things then start to happen in their life that are not good aspects and they don't understand why. I come across this more often then you might think and my job here (29 comments)
feng shui tips: Your Feng Shui Post on "Helpful People" --- And my lovely new client in Lindenhurst, Long Island
- 07/06/07 01:45 PM
A few of you have requested a blog about my favorite area of the Bagua called "Helpful People." Having been in Lindenhurst, Long Island today for a consultation with a wonderful client, I was giving her the information about this area and why I believe it "kick starts" the process of Feng Shui in many cases. A little aside note about this consultation and why I now have a new "Helpful person" as well. She is going through a difficult time and had interviewed three consultants (always a good idea to speak to more than one) and had felt a connection (17 comments)
feng shui tips: A New York City Apartment---Feng Shui Style
- 06/11/07 01:05 PM
It is unusual for me to be called for a Feng Shui Consultation when the occupants AREN'T having some issues or life changing events. Sometimes they feel the "energy" is just off in their space, sometimes it is for health issure or relationship problems or career changes and they've heard or read about Feng Shui (or lately, The Secret) which has touched off a ripple effect in the way people are now reacting to the principles of Feng Shui. They are the same with additional principles of how their home or office surroundings may be affecting them in some way. I was (9 comments)
feng shui tips: An OPEN Blog to All Home Stagers: What would YOU like to see added??
- 05/27/07 05:04 PM
I thought I would direct this post directly to the Home Stagers to see if you have opinions, comments or suggestions on exactly what YOU would like to see represented to Real Estate Agents during a Presentation. Yes, I know, I primarily speak of Feng Shui. But for years I have been speaking to Realtors about the advantages of Staging because they are so closely related and I feel they work hand in hand. Since I have two speaking engagements coming up and I'm trying to put them together, now's the time to tell me. Am I leaving out things you (5 comments)
