Yesterday my fiance and I took time out after work to hike and climb the Vasquez Rocks; a Natural Area 932-acre park located in the Sierra Pelona Mountains, in northern Los Angeles County, California. It is located in the town of Agua Dulce between the suburbs of Santa Clarita and Palmdale. If you have never been, its a great place to check out. They have a small museum and picnic areas you could enjoy breakfast, lunch, or a light dinner. This area has also been

feng shui: How to Prepare for Autumn with Traditional Chinese Medicine & Feng Shui
- 09/30/17 04:57 AM
Looking at the modern day Ba-gua Map you’ll recognize the four seasons that correspond with the directions; North (winter), West (autumn), East (spring) and South (summer). We have entered into the season of autumn which is about harvesting what we planted in the spring (literally and intentionally). The air is cooler and drier; and there seems to be more clarity of vision, both externally and spiritually. During autumn; creativity, refinement, minimalism, and our connection to nature is highlighted. The emotion associated with Metal is sadness and this is not a bad thing. We are simply saying goodbye to the warm care free days

feng shui: The Revitalization of Penn Station with a Twist of Energy Enhancements
- 09/29/17 12:49 PM
How many of you Long Islander’s commute through Penn Station in New York City? Upon arrival and departure, how often do you observe your surroundings in Penn Station? If not often, I invite you to take a brief moment to witness the unique thought process behind the transformation. Gov. Andrew Cuomo gave the green light to revitalize Penn Station and the Farley Post Office across the street in 2016. He announced Vornado and Skanska won the bid for the redevelopment. Reviewing the proposed designs on-line and physically being in Penn Station, you get a very clear sense for where their sparks of inspiration

feng shui: The New York Minnewaska Mountains Called and I Answered
- 09/24/17 01:07 PM
Over the weekend I had back to back feng shui consultations within Ulster County and Westchester County, New York. After my consultation in Marlboro, NY I headed over to Minnewaska State park Sam's Point to get in a full days worth of hiking. In total, it added up to 5 hours. That’s a lot of exploring! I started off exploring the Ice Caves which were pretty cool! Literally. Maneuvering though them allowed you to have a sense of great curiously, while your mind tended to drift into a touch of horror movie thinking, LOL! I hope your not afraid of tight spaces. After, I

feng shui: How to Sell Your Home With 7 Easy Feng Shui Tips
- 09/22/17 05:37 AM
Lately, I’ve been receiving multiple calls to provide Feng Shui Consultations with the purpose of selling homes. So getting right to it, here are five tips to help the process of selling move along. TIP #1: Pay close attention to the initial impressions you receive upon approaching the house. Starting from the driveway (if you have one) and moving your way toward and around the rest of the house ask yourself: Is the home easy to spot from the street? This includes the house number on the house and mail box. Does it convey an inviting feeling? Is anything physically or visually blocking

feng shui: The Sacred Geometry OF Feng Shui Inside Your Home
- 09/17/17 04:33 PM
Let’s delve a little deeper into the art and science of Feng Shui through the eyes of Sacred Geometry. The diagrams you see above represent the Western Ba-gua Map and a superimposed Ba-gua Map over a floor plan. Each area on the map represents a major life section that becomes a metaphor of life cycles, experiences, conscious, and subconscious connections in a person's life. On a more practical level, these life section associate with an accent color, an element, form or shape. A few of the main foundations when implementing Feng Shui is to establish a balance of Yin and Yang, the

feng shui: 5 Feng Shui Back to School Tips for Stronger Cognitive Function & Reduced Stress
- 08/29/17 12:39 PM
1. The buzzing sound of “Declutter” will continue to be the #1 starting Feng Shui suggestion during these current times because our society has adopted somewhat of a clutter-bug lifestyle. As the saying goes, less is more. This is essential for everyone to practice. A team of UCLA researchers in 2012 32 Los Angeles families and found that all of the mothers' stress hormones spiked during the time they spent dealing with their belongings.” Belongings included material goods, paperwork, and even their children’s toys. For the dad or father figure that lives in the home and children, please help out with keeping things

feng shui: University of California Berkeley
- 08/27/17 07:15 PM
Will visiting with family in Northern California, we stopped off at the University of California, Berkeley. I have to say, the students and faculty who get to learn and work here are truly blessed. What a beautiful campus, full of world renowned programs and research projects. Sather Tower (1914) designed by John Galen Howard Mr. Howard was commissioned to design 20 of Berkeley's "Classic Core" buildings on campus. South Hall (1873) is one of the few original buildings remaining on campus today On the quad not too far away from South Hall, you'll catch Berkeley students playing sports. In this photo, you'll find students practicing Quidditchthe, which is a game inspired by Harry Potter. Yes, they are really running around with

feng shui: Cultivating Postive Character Development with Feng Shui
- 08/26/17 12:38 PM
There is an assumption that if you Feng Shui your home, then all things will change for the better. To a certain degree, yes, change happens. Keep in mind though, if you choose not to transform the character within, you might end up inheriting the same looping lessons that keep you stuck. When choosing to Feng Shui your home, you are also cultivating stronger positive values and personal characteristics. Most of my clients when first introduced to Feng Shui tend to disregard the life sections associated with Character Development. They include one or a combination of these Ba-gua map life sections; spirituality,

feng shui: End of an Era to New Beginnings
- 08/13/17 08:05 AM
Since the early 70's in America, family sizes have shrunk and immediate family members typically contain 3-4 people these days. That was the case on my mother's side of the family (the Provenzale's). My family included mom (Carole), my brother, Grandma Rose, and Uncle Peter. Starting in the late 1990's to the early 2000's, the Provenzale's began to shrink. In 1997, Uncle Peter passed away. In 2010, mom was next and in 2013, Grandma Rose said her goodbyes. With each passing it was a family tradition to spread the ashes. The location of choice has always been within the surrounding area of Provincetown, MA. This weekend, I made
