The other week I had the pleasure of facilitating an intergenerationl drum circle in support of a community health program sponsored by the Jewish Parker Institute at the Lakeview Public Library in New York. We had 7 children and 12 adults creating rhythmic music together!
Drumming is a fantastic way to improve social connections, provide an outlet for self expression, encourage deep listening, being present and having fun! There are so many benefits! The other day I provided a Feng Shui Consultation in downtown Manhattan. Before entering the building, I needed to determine the facing direction of the structure and take note of any significant features around the building that could be influencing its energy. I eventually identified the facing direction and recorded the compass reading. After doing so, I noticed a message on the sidewalk where I stood that said, "Live The Present." Over the past two days, I have been in Florida, specifically between Delray Beach and West Palm Beach, to initiate a Feng Shui analysis. The site has an intriguing history as a family owned and operated hotel (est. in 1925) that is currently functioning as a hostel. During the analysis, we observed which part of the current building's facade would be preserved and integrated into the newly designed hotel. As some of you know, besides providing Feng Shui consultations, I've also branched into offering Reiki Healing services and now Drum Circle Facilitation. My first Reiki certification took place in 2013 and from there I graduated to Master level. The teachings and healings of Reiki Treatment has been a fantastic addition to complement Feng Shui.
