los angeles feng shui consultant: Best Burger in LA - Bill's Burgers on Oxnard St in Van Nuys CA - 06/14/19 04:52 PM
The LA Weekly called Bill's Burgers the "King of the California Burger Stands," in 2016 and I'll second that in 2019!!
Meet Bill Elwell (master griller) and, Hiroko Wilcox who is in charge of assembling burgers with clear intent and care. This belvoed local spot has been serving fresh burgers since the mid-1960s. Prepare yourself for tasty, fresh, and affordable burgers! My bill after ordering a double cheese burger, chips and soda,....$7.00. Pretty amazing! Now, do be aware, sometimes the wait for your burger could be between 15 -30 mins, depending on how long the line is. I will say this, its worth the wait.

los angeles feng shui consultant: Best Los Angeles Sandwich: Langer's Deli and Restaurant - 04/04/18 07:35 AM
While visiting Los Angeles, CA for fun and to provide Feng Shui consultations and workshops this past February, my fiance and also made time to get our grub on. We looked up "Best Eats in LA" and came across a restaurant called, "Langer's," home to the world famous hot pastrami. So, we decided to give it a go.
We ordered the classic hot pastrami sandwich. As you can see, they are not shy with the portions. The aroma of the sandwich was just as amazing as its taste. The pastrami was smothered in spicy golden mustard, placed between two fresh pieces of rye bread that had a subtle crunch to it. … (7 comments)

los angeles feng shui consultant: Exploring Los Angeles CA: Best LA Food Trucks in Town! - 02/09/18 07:44 AM
Traveling home from Irvine, CA I stopped off along Whittier Blvd in Los Angeles as I saw a wonderful spectacle of about 10 different LA Food Trucks lined up along the street curb by a local park.
I pulled over and saw I had some pretty nice selections. The food options ranged from vegan, to meat lovers delight, and even cupcakes and slushy drinks! The photo above does not even capture half of what I saw.
I selected my dinner from VCHOS Food Truck, cooking up some tasty little sliders!
The Food Trucks are on the move, but also keep daily schedules and routines. For example, if you visit … (3 comments)

On New Year's day, every year the Autry museum opens their doors for FREE to the PUBLIC! That's right, its FREE! What a wonderful way to kick off the new year with some educational and cultural influence.
In one of the exhibit areas they pose the question of, "Are humans part of Nature?" There were various responses and so I decided to share some of these notes of inspiration that captured my attention and  made me laugh!
FYI: FREE DAYS are available on the second Tuesday of every month.

los angeles feng shui consultant: The Great Wall of Los Angeles Mural - 01/01/18 11:15 AM
Before heading to a morning Feng Shui consultation, I walked along a local park and obserbed "The Great Wall of Los Angeles." This is a half-mile long mural that tells the story of California from prehistory to the 1950's. This is considered one of the LONGEST murals in the world! It contains chronologically ordered accounts, beginning with dinosaur's on one end and the Baby Boom on the other. The mural was designed by Judith Baca, founder of the Social and Public Art Resource Center (SPARC).
From 1974, the creation and completion of the mural spanned over five summers, employing over 400 youth and their families from diverse social and economic backgrounds, work with artist, oral historians, ethnologist, scholars, and hundreds of community … (9 comments)

los angeles feng shui consultant: Exploring the History of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco CA - 01/01/18 10:23 AM
On January 5, 1933, construction on the 3.25 million cubic feet of dirt for the structure’s huge anchorages began.
The job went to a Chicago-based engineer named Joseph Strauss, a drawbridge builder who believed he could complete the grand-scale project between $25 to $30 million. Mr. Stauss's team consisted of Leon S. Moisseiff, who submitted a plan that scrapped the original hybrid design in favor of a suspension span capable of moving more than two feet laterally to withstand strong winds. Irving F. Morrow was responsible for the art deco towers, and later decided on a paint color he dubbed “international orange.” Charles Ellis worked out the … (2 comments)

los angeles feng shui consultant: Hiking California: Joshua Tree National Park - 12/19/17 12:28 PM
Joshua Tree National Park is an amazing place to explore! This landscape serves as a wonderful outlet for creativity, exploring, and just being.
Yucca brevifolia, (Joshua Tree) is a member of the Agave family. Years ago the Joshua tree was recognized by American Indians for its useful properties: tough leaves were worked into baskets and sandals, and flower buds and raw or roasted seeds made a healthy addition to the diet. The local Cahuilla have long referred to the tree as “hunuvat chiy’a” or “humwichawa;” both names are used by a few elders fluent in the language.
This vast desert is a Nationally protected ecosystem. The … (3 comments)

los angeles feng shui consultant: Learning About the Magic of Feng Shui at Disneyland - 10/14/17 09:43 AM
Yesterday (on Friday the 13th...oooo SCARRRY), I provided a two hour "How to Feng Shui for your Home" workshop for Deloitte at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim, California. And you know who else was there? A couple of Disney's characters; Goofy (my favorite!) and Pluto! I didn't have time to snap a photo with them as I needed to set up, yet it was really cool for my inner child to see those guys. It put an extra zest of energy into the presentation.
The event was so much fun! All students were eager to learn and very present. They learned about the history, … (5 comments)

los angeles feng shui consultant: Olvera Street: “The Birthplace of Los Angeles" - 10/12/17 06:50 AM
Olvera Street, known as “the birthplace of Los Angeles,” is a Mexican Marketplace that recreates a romantic “Old Los Angeles” with a block-long narrow, tree-shaded, brick-lined market with old structures, painted stalls, street vendors, cafes, restaurants and gift shops.  Olvera Street was created in 1930 “to preserve and present the customs and trades of early California."  Many of the merchants on Olvera Street today are descended from the original vendors.
Be sure to stop at Cielito Lindo! Home to the "world famous" freshly stuffed, rolled and fried taquitos since 1934.

los angeles feng shui consultant: Get Your Music Fix at Amoeba Music on Sunset Blvd in California - 02/16/17 11:50 AM
Yesterday, my fiance and I were strolling along Sunset Blvd after waiting online to see a screening for Jordan Peel's movie, 'Get Out' and told it was full. Turned out to be a good thing because we wondered into Amoeba Music (The worlds largest independent record store).
I headed up stairs to get a better view of the record store and when I had a moment to really appreciate the vast collection, I just stared in wonder. It was pretty out of sight to see so many CD's, Records, posters, books and many other 'random' items.
The chain of music stores first started in Berkley, … (5 comments)
